Don't know how true this is but;
spoke to a guy at work today who lives in the area. Apparently the lads were in the pub earlier on during the day looking for someone and flashing the weapon about. The landlord took it off them but then let them have it back when they were leaving. Looks very much like they were intent on using it and the poor guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
He also said that the area was very quiet last night apart from the occasional car with blacked-out windows driving past. Lets just hope that it does'nt lead to more mindless violence although in this case it may be warrented.
