Was it the cream, spray or mousse?? I find the spray doesn't come out that great, the mousse is lots better.

Generally, with stuff like San Tropez you aren't actually meant to rub it in are you? Its supposed to look like a layer of mud on you overnight! This is how i've always done it and the results are quite dark.

If you rub it in too much you can rub it off so it doesn't work. You should be covered in a thin layer of dark brown when you've done it. Also you have to make sure its completely dried before you put any clothes on or it will all rub off.

It was the cream, it was only a tester that cost £10 before i parted with more cash for a big bottle. Do you use the St Tropez body lotion and exfoliating body wash when you do yours or will anything similar do?

What about streaks though? wont you get streaks if you leave a layer?

No I just use normal body lotion, I think all the San Tropez stuff is just a con to make you part with extra money

Try the mousse, I've tried all 3 and I much prefer that and it's really easy to apply.

Its hard to explain but you have to try and make the layer as even as possible. It took me a few goes to get it right when I first used it.

like Barbie says, the mousse is much easier to use, plus you don't have to leave it on all night like the cream

You don't need to use their products for exfoliating - just use an ordinary body scrub - or one of those massage sponges with the rough side. Just take care when applying it on your feet cos if it goes on the soles of your feet it looks ridiculous!
