Wow, i was glued to the telly most of yesterday.

First of all the tennis. What match!!!! Did anyone else see it? It was a final that anyone couldve won. The shot making was unbelievable! 8O
Well done to both players. I thought the only difference between the two was Fed's serving in the key points. i was gutted for Nadal, but i'm sure he'll win it one day.

Then there was the F1, i think Ferrari is back, good to see Alonso back on form too.

Also went to see the Tour de France on saturday. Brilliant day sitting down in Hyde Park watching the big screen with a few beers, enjoying the sunshine in a great festival atmosphere.

More weekends like this please!!!

My parents were there Ferd. In the manner that only old Irish folk could manage you know the most exciting thing for them about being at the best tennis match in years:?:

They were sat behind Terry Wogan!

I planned to watch all sorts of sporting activities yesterday, however, the sun came out......:lol::lol:

In the garden from 9.00am - 4.00pm yesterday 8)8)8)

had my own little bit of sporting action. went golf on sat, nice game of matchplay, 4 up after 6... ended up level going into the last par 3, hit drive 10yds short, duffed chip to fringe, and dropped in put for a bogey to win! 8)

the difference between fed and rafa yesterday was tiny. had rafa won any of those break points in the last set, then i have no doubt he would have won.

fed's serve bailed him out more than once, but thats all part of a great player tho, a lá pistol pete.

Yess I saw it, what an amazing match! and I am sorry he didn't win but I think he did it so well that he is just demonstrating he is improving himself in every surface! I think Nadal could have won! I am sure he will get that title some day and ofcourse federer is allways such a gentleman ! is not like Berdych!

Haven't had such a sporting weekend like this for a while (if shopping for camping gear can be included as a sport!)

Fri - Had a little drink in the West End. Hours of fun putting the world to rights, dodgy curries, convincing boucners we were on a non-existent Hen do, capped off nicely with some outrageous dancing from Becky (in a 8O ' I never knew you could dance like that' good way) and I (in a 8O 'wtf are you doing, Dan' bad way!).:oops:

Oh, and as I stumbled in on Friday night, The Worlds Second best T Shirt Ever Made in The Universe Of All Time had been delivered, and I woke up in it (after trying it on and dozing off!) at about 3am :?

Saturday, left the house at 10:40 to go shopping for camping gear. Arrived home at 18:40. Sunday, left the house at 11:00 to go shopping for camping gear. Arrived home at 5:20. Now I can't be arsed to do the maths (math for the Americans out there) but if anyone wants to know anything about camping or general outdoor pursuit shopping, then I can quite happily own up to being an expert! :D

Purchases include: Waterproof suit, extra waterproof trousers, small day rucksack with drinks bladder sewn in, extra bladder for said rucksack, matching thermol gloves and hat, mosquito repellant, fold up stove, fold up pots and pans set, matching 'base layer' (posh pyjamas essntially that can be worn during the day, and that can let you 'breathe?', BFO wheeled carrying holdall/which can transform into a rucksack, 'd1ckhead' lamp, white boiler suit (poundshop, don't ask), fancy self inflating matress, smaller chav-sack and loads of other utter shi... completely essential camping gear!

In between the two expeditions, I ventured to the theatre in the evening, which was possibly the funniest hour of my life, if only marred a little bit by the kid I had next to me that had one of those really loud laughs!:lol::lol:

Went racing at Rye Park on Friday night which was a right ol' laugh. Qualified in 5th Place and finished 6 out of 10 places. Not bad for my first go considering all the other drivers were seasoned bods and blimey those things can be dodge....Good buzz tho all the same8)8)8)

Then it was all day Saturday down brick lane for untold drinks and ending it off with a ruby...was that well needed or what???nice one..(gonna check out that boozer still in Camden Babs)

Tennis, cracking game, really thought Rafa pushed him, and really thought going into the 5th, he was going to win!! Though Fed was a little lucky in the end!!

More than 20 aces, number 1 player since 2 February 2004; great player and a gentleman.
Fed is very lucky:spank:

I think Nadal was close to win. Knee injury maybe stopped him this time. He improved a lot since last year' final. Next year, his turn: "jamais 2 sans 3"
