This week we strive to go one better than the launch with double headliner action, two fantastic acts in the form of the beautiful Scarlett Etienne and the very handsome Marc Ashken (Leftroom)

Scarlett has made some serious headlines in the last few years most notably as Sasha’s warm up DJ however she is a superstar DJ in her own right with gigs this year at Clapham Common’s monster SW4 festival, Romania’s Sunwaves festival, Goa in Madrid and America’s huge Burning Man festival in the Nevada Dessert.

Born in Hong Kong to a U.S military family, Scarlett Etienne spent her formative years traveling internationally until settling in New York City on her own at 18.

She was immediately immersed in the shocking intensity of the New York City nightlife, where she was inspired and heavily influenced by her underground house music heroes Danny Tenaglia and Junior Vasquez.

Scarlett's incredible love of music and appreciation for the sensory and aesthetic aspects of the club scene led her to fearlessly take to the decks and cultivate a style all her own, exposure to radically different cultures throughout her life stimulated her naturally vivid imagination, awakening her to the unlimited potential of music.

In 2002 she landed a residency at New York City nightlife institution Sound Factory followed by a residency at the renowned Italian nightclub Alter Ego in Verona.

In 2006 Crosstown Rebels label boss Damian Lazarus invited Scarlett to play at their label party ''Out Of Order'' at The End, London as well as the labels ''Get Lost'' party in Miami for the Winter Music Conference. This was the same year she also made her debut for Carl Cox's ''Global'' radio show.

Her first release was a collaboration with Get Physical's Audiofly and Pete Tong also gave her repeated plays on his ''Essential Selection'' show with her track ''Eleven''.

Scarlett continues to make her impact on the underground house scene on a global level. While not working hard on the road, she is working diligently at home in her studio, continuing her quest to find expression through innovative new sounds.

MarcAshken

MarcAshken is seriously hot property, with a string of releases on the worlds most favoured dance music record labels including Safari Electronique, Great Stuff and Leftroom Records.

Leftroom is where Marc has made the biggest impact with the release of his stunning debut album ‘’Have You Seen My Dancing Shoes’’. His tracks have been remixed by the likes of Shonky, Glimpse and non other than M_nus’ Marc Houle.

In turn Marc also remixed one of the biggest tracks of the special Circo Loco Ibiza parties of 2008 on the DC10 terrace in the form of Rocha & Lewinger’s ‘’Down Seq’’.

Marc often pairs up with Matt Tolfrey on remix duty and together they have churned out remixes for Paul Lorraine, Silverclub, Simon Baker and Frankie to name a few.

His talent goes further than producing stunning records and great remixes as his DJ capabilities are second to non with grooving electronic sounds and obvious 80’s influences thrown in keeping music heads happy all night long.
