Was really looking forward to doing Good fridays at Space next week ... awesome line-up, half the price...get to party on the terrace as i wont be on the island on Sunday! but after reading through posts it seems from wat peeps say it gets full of San An idiots and that its being pushed by agents from 18-30's etc...can anyone confirm or deny this...is it really that bad? thanks :?: 8)

I think you're getting mixed up with Manumission at Privelege.

Space usually attracts a great crowd for any day/night.

There were a couple of people that came back and said they weren't impressed with crowd on Fridays, it's the old Tonic Carry On and that did attract a bit of a San An crowd.

Could you get there on Tues morning for Manumission Carry On or Thursday morning for La Troya Carry On, much better crowd.

I'd risk it and see for yourself. As far as I know "San An" isn't contagious and I've read time after time on this board that the clubs are better when all the beer boys are gone home at 5am. Can't see them being at out gone 8am, can you?

Have a look and see whether the parties on the night before are likely to attract the sort of folk you want to 'carry-on' with. That'd be a good indicator.

La troya after party seems like an option...do u know the times? also wat kinda music? is this the famous ibiza gay night? fenks :P

La Troya is the gay night but when we've been it's been pretty mixed and a fantastic atmosphere.

It's funky house on the terrace and harder indoors. It opens at 8am but the terrace doesn't open til 10am.

If you're not going to La Troya @ Amnesia where they often give out free bands for the aftershow try a couple of the bars that sell tickets before you come to Space you can sometimes buy passes there really cheap ;)

Talking about Manumission Carry On?

it like the night at privilege? quite str8, isn't it?

told that la troya @ space is INCREDIBLE! it's a must for good house music lovers

Manumission Carry On can be pretty mixed at times but La Troya is your best bet for a Carry On which is more gay.

manumission and the carry on is mixed.

makkinero a big part of ibiza for me is all the different people coming together, gay/straight/black/white/american/spanish/african etc etc etc.

my advice to you would be to go to as many different parties with different types of people as you can.

you don't need to just socialise with fellow gays! ;)

looks like i'll go to la troya.....is it a friendly crowd though? is it mainly spanish?...the reason i ask is ive experienced sum gay clubs before where the crowd is tres arrogant , ta

I didn't go myself, but it's definitely being pushed by the 18-30s reps. But, looking at the general apathy they were greeted with by the people I saw them approaching, it shouldn't be too bad.

Well thats my intention... im not the kind of guy who normally just socialise with gay people, i love mixed places but i was told that besides gay and mixed places there are also a lot that are not 100% but 90% straight... as wls @ space... and really, when going to a new place, at first place i can feel maybe more comfortable at a mixed or gay place that at a place thats 85-95% str8 ... ;) just that

I went to both La Troya carry on & Manumission carry on. Both were mixed but La Troya I would say was more gay.

I does not matter what / who you are in Space anyways as nobody cares as long as you are having fun.

Out of the two Manumission kicked ass and was the best time spent at Space EVER!

Actually next friday hosts an after party combined with a Positiva party so that should be more interesting than the usual Tonic parties that are held there every friday morning.

I went to Good Fridays as it promised a fantastic line up of The Plump DJS, Soul of a Man, Clive Henry and Danny Rampling.

Got there at 2ish with the flyer stating 'finishes at 8pm, please note, some parties may go on longer'

well f*ck me, they should have said some parties finish too early!!

The Plumps finished at 6pm! and that was it, bars closed, and we were made to get out.

There wasnt a massive crowd, but we went there especially to see the Plumps and to have a good time.

Very disapointed with the promotion. (Im sure it wasnt the plumps fault)

Wont be going again, and as they are trying to bring breaks music to the island they are treating the fans that make the effort to go to the events like sh*t!

Id be interested to see what the promotors have to say about this if they see this message?

the fridays one is promoted by 18-30's, the british "lager lout" tour operator, for want of a better description.

i went with 18-30's last year, and the clientelle of 18-30's do only tend to visit the big clubs whenthey are in the package, like this and hed kandi, but there isnt much chance of many of them making it through to 6am/8am to even get there, by that time the beer consumption will have knocked them all out or they will all be having sex with someone that is ugly.
