SPACE ressie admits terrace WILL NOT be finished for opening

It amazes me how people are getting so stressed about this situation

Just go if you're going, you know you will have a good time so why worry?

sy, agree totally ;)

i just went down to look at the new surprise area and it looks wicked - really intimate feel - for sure same great space vibe.

roll on sunday. (i shall spend most of the day there in the interests of work you understand ;-)

No doubnt amazing times will be had no matter what, probably more exciting than previous years due to not knowing what we're going to get...

I've said before that I have faith in space and I'm sure they wil not let me down. But as for preference I'd rather me on the terrance than in a car park...

im sure they will work around it though

I'm going to take it as an experience, you know, I can then tell everybody I went to Space when it wasn't even finished. Later generations will look up to me

I dont think you will be in the car park mate, stop worrying about it - it'l be rate.

I've been to the last two openings and I spent most of the day time in the car park arena. I found it much nicer than the terrace, the stage and lights were better and you were actually dancing in the sun.

the first party to start is la comunidad on june 17th so i wouldnt be surprised if the club is not completly finished till that weekend..........
well, seems like it will be ready for the 17th.......... of july:

fritz from space: we will do another big opening to celebrate the brand new Terrace, on the Sunday 17th of July for We love Space!
one of the surprises of la comunidad this summer is that they will have djs in the terrace too (with minimal instead of the harder sounds they have inside) from july 29th.......... does that mean that the terrace wont be finished for july 17th as previously announced? :?

source: pepo lanzoni from la comunidad

Hopefully the temporary terrace will still be there in late September then ;)

I don't think the refurbished terrace will open this year. Theres no point rushing it to open for a couple of weeks at the end of the season. might as well do it right and have it all new and spangly for the opening party next year :P

Surely they'll keep working on it. :? It'd be kind of weird for a contracting company just to pick up and leave, then come back in 7 or 8 months to finish the job they started. Maybe not...I'm not familiar with the standards of Ibiza.

Considering how much work was still left to do when we were there in June, and how slowly they seem to be working, I don't think they'll need to stop and then start again
