SPACE - over rated

It is my firm belief that Space Terrace and BoraBora are the two unique experiences in the whole clubbing scene in Ibiza.

Every night that I went out clubbing, I used to compare with what I can get back home, and only Space and BoraBora stood out as the two that I could not get at home.

I think that if you take out Space and BoraBora, then from a clubbing perspective, going to Ibiza will be a waste of hard earned dough.

the terrace has been amazing this year. the sound seemed to have sort it self out, compared to last year, and when it goes off - my god! :D
 
The space terrace is by far the best place to be on a sunday afternoon.

That terrace has the effect on people that no where else seems to!
 
SPACE - OK, I shall attend

OK all and sundry.........I shall bite the bullet and be in attendance this Sunday at Space.........of course if it does not reach the lofty heights promised I shall hold you all personally responsible. Gutted that Mr Coe (Sasha) AND james Zebiela aren't playing this week.

Besides I wanna find that stash and send him broke....

A few of you regulars might remember me offering to buy a drink to anyone who spotted me at the opening of We Love, back in June. Well, guess what, not one drink was claimed and I went home without having to make multiple visits to the cash machine.

Time now for another try.

This weekend (12th) we will be at Space again. So, if you are there too, keep a look out for a guy with a shaved head and a tattoo on his right arm, misbehaving with a tall blond woman. Come on over and say “hello Stash” and I’ll take you off to the bar and buy you one of Space’s fantastically over priced drinks. How about that !

There are only a few times when I have walked into a 'club' and instantly felt a grin plastering across my face from ear to ear . .

First trip to Bora Bora just after we had lost our luggage and found our accomodation was awful . .then thought sod it, don't sulk , lets get out there . .

The first sight Space Terrace at 2pm one Sunday in June. Room to move and just enjoy.

The Hacienda in the day glo days of whistles and twiddly music.

So yeah , the Space Terrace does it for me though. Still not sampled inside after midnight though . . .

The Space Terrace is the best club i have ever set foot in, and, imo the best club i am ever likely to set foot in.

oh...and i will be there on sunday!!!

this year on the Sunday in July I found in seriously cheesy and full of people trying to look the part to the point where it was actually unpleasant. It was not party people there - the way eveyone pushed and shoved us around, there was no escape but it was really the cheesy anthems that drove me inside, which wasn't that great either.

Perhaps the Cox night has a bit more soul, and I am sure there will be great crowd for Laurent, but really can't say I rate "Sundays at Space" at all.
 
I agree it is over-rated, I didn't fancy going at all this year, but I have only been on a Sunday so I really should try going a different day next year
 
Sorry, Space is incredible.

I personally found Sundays at Space a bit of a pain as it's just stupidly busy, but the likes of Manumission Carry On are superb.

Plus the new rooftop terrace is absolutely stunning.

Space is how all clubs should be.

couldnt agree more, have read some comments on the sound system being much better than last year (cant comment on that as didnt go last year) but i thought the sound was awful. i can get more volume and bass from my laptop speakers.

when you think that BB is free and the atmos is much better i dont see why anyone would go to the terrace in the afternoon over BB.
 
I agree with most people, terrace is fantastic, inside is a real let down. but the car park area on opening and closing parties rocks too!

The sound for Carl Cox's closing party was incredible - I could feel it going right through me.
 
the sound system on the terrace is shamfeul... oh well, now they've managed to close bora bora down they might get a few more peops at wash out/crap events like in bed & good fridays. this in turn may give them $ to sort the speakers out.
 
i was there at space from 7th august until 12th august, almost every morning in space and i found the sound on the terrace fantastic... the best day "in bed with space" sound incredible
