Space Opening Fiesta 2013

MASSIVELY disappointed with the line-up so far!!!! Can't stress that enough!!!!! Space, what exactly are you doing!??!!?!? With the exception of 7/8 names the rest are instantly forgettable!!! Unless there is some SERIOUS announcement in the next few days (although how late are they planning on leaving it) then this falls WAY behind previous Opening/Closing line-ups!!!!! This is actually the 2nd party in a row they have fallen far below expectations! Closing last year was a farce with the advertised Hawtin 9am - Close which never even materialised, despite being plastered all over the flyers!!

The best one they did was Closing 2011 with Coxy doing his morning set... Since then though.... :(

Space, i hope you prove me wrong over the next few days....
 
i agree it's not the biggest line up space has ever seen for their opening. but for the last few years, the closing was always a bit bigger in terms of line ups anyway I think. still, there's plenty of good talent.

ric - the 9am-close of hawtin at the closing last year was planned at first, but then re-scheduled, here's the running order we posted on 6th october last year.

i for one can't wait to hit the flight arena, no matter what the line up includes. dancing in the sunshine and having the full summer ahead is a feeling that hardly can be beaten.

Im super dissapointed with the line up too. But I agree with what nostrum is saying.

The main thing is, this is really NOT a 65 euro line up.... I wouldnt pay it... good job im getting in freeeeeeee :)
 
oh... maybe there will be some more releases???? its only 30 odd (think i counted 32) artists... at the top of the article it says more than 40???

i would have looooved to have been there... and i'm sure i'm going to have a good time... lots of friends and laughs, good music... good memories made.
i am just disappointed with the line up. i can not pretend not to be. and at 65euros a pop... crazy. if i had got tickets i would be fuming. I cant help but notice 3500 pesetas... including free drink... what 20 euro??

but i haven't.... so... que sera sera... i will have fun anyway. :) and im sure the guys that got tickets will too...

The 1995 lineup was infinitely more disappointing ! Ian Ossia and FOS spelled the end of my love affair with Renaissance (couldn't bear them). Digweed was OK round then but not really in his prime ... Seaman was on the commercial side and had his ups and downs and Chris & James were handbag house par excellence.

I've looked closely at that lineup and whilst there aren't the number of big names you'd expect (and it's not the sort of lineup I could imagine staying in there for 12 hours through !) I'm fairly sure some of the lesser known ones will play great sets. Remo is really good for example - a jewel in Kehakuma's crown. It's a broad spectrum of artists from their nights - and at least you have several areas to choose from. On the price - just think what We Love was costing not so long ago ... and what you got for that !

But yes, 2011 Closing was the only Space Opening / Closing party which tempted me to go in recent years. I was even in Ibiza when the 2010 Opening was on and stayed in San An for a quiet one.
 
From noon until 7 am! Only good thing will be some longer sets.
There are a couple of names I had heard of thag I'm looking forward to checking out. Namely Yaya and Edu.
 
oh nostrum... you have made a girl very happy this morning... cant wait to message ric.... we were having right rants last night on facebook messages... i believe they would be good for me to keep as a momento.

now.... do you have anymore tricks up your sleeve??? Im not being greedy... I just figure...... ;)
 
Very pleased with Chemical Brothers!!!!!! Any ideas yet if it's a live set or not?? :)

I'm gonna get stuck into some quality humble pie here by the looks of things.... Although a certain 51yr old is still missing from the line-up.... Come on Space, the people have spoken (well, me and Sophie really)... :lol:
