Anyone knows if Space is open on the first sunday in june again in 2009?

i'm sure if you googled: international music summit blog you'd find out all the coverage from last years events

a.d.e. is more like the wmc, the ims is not like wmc or a.d.e. - ims is more like midem

there is quite a fundamental difference between the wmc and midem - the former pisses it up and latter does business - i went to all of the ims panels and it was refreshing - it actually had less to do with "dance music" than people realised

as i said, with the ims the previous few days before hand i would be amazed if they missed out on all the delegates

and its not as if it hasnt opend in may before - you're very own spotlight reviews it here

The inimitable DC10 opening on the Monday morning thereafter - the way was paved for a weekend of non-stop debauchery.

With a party that goes for 22 hours, it's always difficult to know when to go?

Wish we still had choices like that!

you forgot that san jose added this to their new opening laws.....

"if its the opening or closing they can open from 12pm if it happens between may 25th and june 5th, for the opening, and between october 1st and 15th, for the closing"

..... opening on the 7th would have been a mistake

theres no indication why it would - the fact that san jose reitereated the fact last week that the restrictions dont apply to the last week in may and the end of oct would imply that things will be the same next year - ie space will be able to open at 12 on the 31st of may which they would not have been able to do if they had left it a week later and also of course would not been able to entertain any of the ims delegates
