Space was really oversold, and the shere ammount of people there ruined this experience for me. After buying tickets online months before (which one would assume would be the quickest/best way) we had to que for over 2 hours and were told several times that the club was full and to go away. If you´d bought the ticket on the day from any of the stores howevere, you go to go into a faster moving que. What is the point of geting tickets online months before the event???

Whoever is in charge of managing this club has really done a dissapointing job of organising this event. It was disgracefully oversold and the areas were way too overpacked.

I came to Ibiza to experience Space, but I am bitterly dissapointed and I honestly won´t have many good things to say to people about my experience.

we arrived at 4pm, had all different kinds of tickets (normal - internet - g.list) and were all in in less than 10 minutes!

yes, space opening is ALWAYS really busy. but this isn't something new and can be found on this very forum in many reviews...

If you had to queue that long mate, you obviouisly got there way too late.

Doesnt matter whether you have pre-bought tickets or not, if you get there hours after its opened, its gonna be rammed.

If a club holds 10,000 people, its not gonna keep 1,000 spaces open to people that have pre-bought, in the hope they turn up. Its first come first served, always has been always will be.

Its not a sporting event where you have a pre-determined space. Its a club. Probably the most hyped club in the world. On opening day. In ibiza.

What did you expect? Empty rooms?
 
Im sorry but Ive been the last 3 years to the opening and Sunday was a disgrace. I understand everything that goes on with these parties but the long and short of it is it over sold way too much. The entry process for an internet ticket couldnt have been more of a palaver if they tried, it was insane.

I got there at 6pm and got in at 7.45pm, the girls we were with were terrified as it was like a football riot, so much pushing and shoving with no control over where you were going. Once inside as usual the production, music, sound and atmosphere etc were spot on as always. It took a while to get in to it as the entry process really was so stressful but eventually we found a space in the corner and cracked on from there.

Whether you were the first person in there or waited til 8pm the fact was there were too many people and it did take the edge off the night (and really makes you think about going to opening again). However what remains is that Space is still at the top of the clubbing tree and we will continue to go for years to come.
 
conclusion - arrive before the masses do!!! really sorry though it took so long later on.

There were obvious problems with the party and you're trying to make this guy feel bad for attempting to go.

That's pretty pitiful.

the reason he went to the opening party is that he was that excited he couldnt wait any f..kn longer and had to get out there away from all the crap at home. he just didnt realise that the opening party is that busy.. but what will it be like at the so called second opening june 15th. whats that all about......
