Space (club nights in London)

They'll be back I dare say. It's one of the (slightly) better nights run by the ubiquitous A-list promoters. Pick a night at Pacha, Egg or the Cross any Friday or Saturday - if you haven't heard of the promotion, 99% likely its the exact same night under a different brand name. They'll even all feature the same music - not just the same type of music, the same DJs playing the same 'hits by numbers' selections at each event.
 
we went to a space/a list night at the cross. didn't really rate it, a bit snooty and the music a little dull/cheesy.
The a-list are THE WORST people ever to run a club door EVER. What is the point of a guest-list if everybody is on it? Is it to make people feel 'special?'



They do attract alot of gorgeous people to their parties though :D :D
 
The Puscha party they (and i believe mr buckley too) put on at The Egg last November was an awsomely good night. The Egg is soooooo nice.

I did the Space party (Oct) with Buckley and all my folk had a nightmare getting through the door. They ask if people want to be on a 'VIP' guestlist just so they can grab people's email addresses and like you say make them feel 'special'. Although most people were pissed off having to wait outside in the freezing cold for the best part of an hour! :twisted:

Yup, and once they know they're gonna ram the place they start f*cking people about it to squeeze more cash out of it. I shot off around to see a DJ I had playing in Camden and returned just in time to catch this conversation at the door:

Three girls I know: Hi, which is the queue for Buckley's list?

Door whore: Who?

TGIK: Buckley...he's promoting the Loft, and DJing with Dempsey

DW: Never heard of him...you'll just have to join the queue and play full price....

Buckley: Hello again.......

DW: Hello Buckley....erm..(turns to TGIK)....did you mean Buckley?

TGIK: Yup, we meant Buckley....that's why we said Buckley...

DW (going red): I'm sure you said something else.........

So.....if they get away with they make people on your consessions list pay full price and don't record them as 'your people'. And you're only getting paid per head off your 'guestlist'!

And yet, might still have to work with them, cos they've got a stranglehold on The Cross, Pacha and Egg............So......don't quote this post please folks......will self delete shortly................
