SPACE..a question and a warning..

Firstly a warning, (sorry if this is common knowledge)

A mate of mine arrived at space by taxi to discover that the Garda de Civil now operate a meet and greet service for early arrivals.

After refusing to "get in the back of the van" withnail style, they searched him on the street and sent him on his way.

Now a question, who the hell was DJ'ing on Sunday night in Space 6th of june? They were doing a long (6hr i think)set and SUCKED and I never want to go near them again! :evil:
 
more than likely to be Behrouz, Deep Dish's Yoshitoshi stable-mate and playing 3/4 Yoshitoshi dates @ Pacha

OK, I don't really understand what happened here... he arrived at Space the Guardia de Civile were waiting for ppl to arrive at Space to search them??

It's only to make a statement at the beginning of the season. Scare tactics. They wont be there all summer.

They're always there, we've both been stopped and searched in the Space carpark in previous years and seen them stopping loads of other people and searching cars etc, as we always say just be careful.

Haven't been stopped at Space, but my friends were searched at DC10 before. It's good to be careful no matter which club you're at.

I thought Behrouz rocked! He played an awesome set and me and my friends were blown away by his amazing taste in music. May I ask what it was about the music you did not like. It's my third time listening to him. First two times were in New York with Danny Tenaglia, who claims Behrouz as one of his favorite djs.
 
Agree, saw Behrouz 2-3 times amazing music taste and selection.
Back to Guardia, last time I was in Space for a carry on, they were having a beer at the bar, I was having a coffee to wake me up and then they hit the carpark to search people :roll:
 
That sucks. You should also be careful inside the clubs because there are policemen or women dress as normal people.
 
i was sprayed with mace or pepper spray or wot ever that is because i helped this guy up off the floor after some ppl (civillian clothes - are these Guardia de Civile ?) kicked the hell out of him. best bet is to keep your self to yourself and i anything kicks off walk away -

my hotel was about 2 mins walk from west end and i only saw 2 fights in 2 weeks - id see 3 times that on a friday night at my local club!!

Ibiza ... Safe as fcuk ;) ;)
 
The police have stopped me and my mate on the way to space and it wasn't a nice experience- they're there all season, not just at the beginning.

What did you experience?
 
I've been stopped on a few occasions, first time they breathalised me and found me over the limit, the second they found some thingies on me.

Both times I was pretty polite with them, acted respectfully and gave them a tip.

Walked away scott free both times.

I admit it must be a balancing act to do a long set like that, and we only stayed until 03:20 ish, (because it was IMO awful) but it never got going during the time we were there. Hey! each to there own.... How many people were left in the club at the end... we figured the place would be deserted by the time he'd finished! :D

The three previous nights we'd spent in Pacha, I have no idea who was playing there (a female resident DJ was really good) but we never left the dance floor!
 
are they searching for drugs i take it? are they hot on drugs there? do they let you get away with small amounts or?
