Soulful/Deep house night question...

Hello Guys...

I have been enjoying the white isle for the last half dozen years but I am always on the look out for more soulful/deep house nights... I loved Frankie Knuckles (Defected) in Pacha last year and generally enjoy the upstairs small room in pacha on both defected and subliminal night but have found it hard to come by many other nights that play the stuff I really like... just looking for any advice about other nights which might hit the spot...?

Guess it depends on your interpretation of what "Deep" House is. If you're a fan of the Hot Creations sound then maybe worth checking out Jamie Jones' Paradise night at DC10? Either thee place to be or the place the avoid, depending on your angle...
 
Thanks WIC... I will check out Hot Creations... I guess to elaborate I like the soul and disco influenced stuff most... People like Kerry Chandler and Frankie Knuckles are what I really...
 
Thanks supermfc... I will look out for KC at DC10... Thanks Richie... I enjoyed the Finnebassen mix... which night is he likely to play at sankeys? Also enjoyed your recent mix at MOS... Mr Knuckles is coming to town in March so thinking of seeing the godfather in action... he was great at XOYO recently!

Finnebassen is playing the Opening and then Flying Circus amongst others.

Thanks for all the info guys.... just hoping Finnebassen will be at Sankeys while I am there in mid August... Any thoughts on how Solumun and Finnebassen compare muscially as I heard a nice mix by Solomun (radio one) recently...?

Solomun is big soulful synths, bright and bouncy bass lines, energetic melodies that flow beautifully with plenty of interesting vocals. A unique experience.

Finnebassen is smooth rolling beats, seductive, sometimes edgy.

Try not to miss either.

With the explosion of deep house I'm surprised Space or Amnesia hasn't booked a solid night. Even though I feel that sound is best suited for venues like DC10 and Sankeys.

You could always check out Acid Lounge above Itaca. Obviously it isnt a club but its a great place to have a few pre-drinks and its open air too. They always have some good deep house playing without the foot shufflers attending.
