my eagle eyes have spotted that on the billboard in the above video it states the closing is the 21st sep, but in the party calender on this forum it says closing is the 28th sep.....whos right and whos wrong?
anyway, louie vega has been my dj hero for sometime now and i love everything that masters at work are about. they were pioneers back in the day, and they both still are in my eyes. louie has always stayed true to his roots, where as alot of dj's just play what ever the 'in thing' is, louie has always played what real house music is all about.
take eric morillo, he too used to play a similar kinda style to louie, U.S house and grooving music, now i think he is over hyped, over paid and definately over rated. i understand that djs move with the times, believe me i do, im a dj too, but i have to hand mr vega some massice credit for being true to what he is about, and this night at el divino on a sunday is quite refreshing to see in ibiza. after all the music he plays is perfect for ibiza, alot of clubs have djs and people in who just wana pose and be seen in whatever club, pacha or space or wherever,
but this night is about taking the music back to its roots and making sure people get down and party to some good soul house music.
im there for a week in september and am lucky enough to be able to see kenny dope and louie vega in the same week so am looking forward to it loads. for those of you who dont know what louie is all about then come along and see, i think u may be surprised and maybe even get a feel for the true ibizan spirit
