I was in Ibiza and never made it to Privilige, what's the club like? What's the layout compared to other clubs? I hear there's a pool in the middle.
Thanks

It's very big!

There is a pool but us mere mortals can't go into it. You'd get chucked out if you tried.

I really like it as there's loads of rooms of the main part. The bars that out outside in amongst the tree-tops are lovely, and I'm a big fan of the Music Box room with it's Saturday Night Fever multi-coloured flashing floor.

I don't think the entire venue is fully utilised apart from on big nights like Manumission when they come close to filling it's 10k capacity.

A novelty club. I dont think I will be going ever again. Has a few decent Manumission nights there in past years but there are plenty of ther better places on offer. It is big though.

It's like an aircraft hanger with decks.

clara is right about the wee music box room though

Privilege can be interesting on Manumission. Manumission is not for a perfect clubbing night, but it's good to get lost inside and discover any spot, as it has dozens of places to be as if you were in different venues. Just the main floor has a particular distribution: a big and high roof, but lots of spots at different levels, some of them covered with a mezzanine (another level), and some open to the big roof. It also have two more dancefloors: the Coco Loco Room, with trees and big windows looking East to see the sunrise, and the music box (or backroom), with light tiles on the dancefloor and a seventees feel (but with current electro, electro-pop music).

In addition it has wide gardens to walk, an open terrace to chill out, and a big dome on the top, to chill-out as well.

The people use to be very young on the main floor, which has from progressive to tech-house and a big show on the stage, and older in the Coco Loco room (funky-house mainly) and backroom (electro, electro-pop as I mentioned above).

So, I recommend you a visit to the Manumission night if you haven't seen the place yet, as it's a very impressive place when it's all open. Afterwards, you decide if you want to get back to get lost inside again or if you want a more 'serious' clubbing night, like Cocoon, which is on Mondays too.

:)

where is the music box located?

standing in the main room looking towards the front (where manumission stage is) it's in the far right hand corner.

there is another entrance too, from the coco loco room.

Describe Priv?

Huge, but crouded

Smelt of human excrement when I went

Overpriced drinks (that's true everywhere)

I think that says it all, you'll loose your friends in the club because it's so huge and you'll have a bad smell in your nose.

Ya, very big, almost too big.

Be careful when with friends, be very sure yee have a good meeting point.

Toilets were a disgrace.

Nice chilled terrace area on the roof.

Make sure you sneak in a few small bottles of spirits, 3 of us went in, they searched the guy at the front a little, he had nothing so they let me and the bro. in without searching, result.

That was back in 1999, think it was called The Summer Of Trance at the time, aahhhh!!!!!!! Only remember Sonique as one of the dj's, she sang a bit too.

Make sure you hang around for the sunrise, class!!!!!!!

what ibiza club isn't crowded with overpriced drinks?

and i can say in all the times i've been there i've never smelt human excrement in the club.

some of the toilets, especially the ones under the stage can get a bit bad but with 10,000 people the cleaners must have a hard job don't you think?

BIG with nowhere to sitdown.

No, there is a nice lounge area upstairs, off to the side. In the trance room there is a bench area.

:? There is lots of seating areas, in the garden bar, side terrace, the upstairs balcony, the music box has some seating to the side etc.
