solo clubbing in ibiza...

So the useless f*cks otherwise known as my clubbing mates have just realised that they can no longer afford the trip to Ibiza this year :x

Not sure what to do really. I'm currently trying to see if I can rope some other mates into going. But I'm so up for going that if I can't I'd almost consider going myself...

I've occasionally gone clubbing myself and I've been backpacking all round Asia on my own, but I'm not sure how much fun a solo ibiza trip would be.

Just wondered if any of you folks had tried such a thing before....
 
Yes, lots of people here have gone on their own.. I went on my own last year.
I had the same thoughts as you, done the backpacking/ traveling thing before and was a bit apprehensive about going on a 'holiday' on my own,

I had a fantatic time last year... go for it! :D
 
I have never been on vacation anywhere by myself, but I find that going out dancing by myself on occasion can sometimes be liberating. I did it Friday night as a matter of fact, because I decided to go out at the last minute and didn't want to wait for my girls to get ready. I know that I will always see people I know or meet interesting ones to hang out with. I oftentimes become preoccupied with everyone else's good time rather than my own and sometimes get caught up in playing mother (is everyone feeling great, got drinks, have enough space where they're dancing, have a safe ride home etc.) so when there are no ties of that nature, the freedom can be refreshing. As long as I'm safe, smart and aware, there is no reason for a problem. And what do you know... that night I met up with a few peeps and we ended up after-partying at my pad.

There are gazillions of amazing people in Ibiza that are friendlier and more inviting than anyone on earth... I picture it being one of the easiest places to fly solo. I am sure you will come in contact with a bunch of party people that would be more than willing to invite you to tag along, as long as you are an outgoing and fun personality yourself.

My advice is: Don't let your friend's flakiness or lack of cash hold you back from having the time of your life.

By the way, laguna, when you did it what did you do about accom?

Well said, PachaGirl- I was in Ibiza by myself last year for 3 out of my 10 days there and I did, in fact meet the most amazing people. I met some people from this board who were just incredible to me and made me feel like an old friend as well as random people in clubs who did simple things like give me a few cigs (when I asked for one) or buy me a drink to make me feel welcome in their group.

Definitely go, because by the time your holiday is over, you will be far from alone.

I slept around with a new girl everynight 8O :lol: . As if that would happen :roll: . I lived in Sant Antoni by myself also (Hostal Mari). Nice place with nice management.
 
I hate clubbing with people! 8O

I'm known for always going awol when groups are around.

You get much more out of a night out when on your own. None of this, 'shall we go here/there' business. :roll:

Ive done it several times before. Ive even been let down on my birthday (as usual) on occasion.

Ive got the first flight out I could on my own a few times last minute, in peak season /radio1 weekend in early august when all the travel agents told me there was nothing on the island at all (in a reasonable price range), and went there knowing noone, without having anywhere to stay.

Managed to find places in the end.

It always works out for me somehow (jammy bstard :lol: )

I thought I was talking about my trip to Ibiza. I always go solo as it just gives me the maximum amount of freedom. If I go with someone we better get along perfectly well, otherwise it will be a pain.
 
Go fir it Axon. I did it twice and had a grrrrreat time.
I met much more people than now that I go with friends.
Of course being slutty can help.
