So.......pleased...................

.......that everyone enjoyed Friday. Huge thanks to you all for attending and special thanks to the DJs who once again, to a man, were blinding :D .

Krysko, in my opinion, was the mutts nuts. Will definitely use him again at some point. BBS and Alex G rocked room 2, while Chewie, Richard M and Dempsey (I was running around like a headless chicken at this point, So....he was on deck duties alone) got things nicely warmed up in room one.

As mentioned by other posters, numbers were down a bit from January's event but not enough to prevent the term 'success' being relevant. A lesson learnt perhaps - while So.....is essentially for board members, to get out turnouts of January's size consistently, we need to spread the word among the rest of world too. I shoulder the blame for not realising this before Friday and hope the fact that were about 3/4 full than rammed to gills didn't detract too much from anyone's fun.

Special mentions to those who made down to Fire in Vauxhall afterwards. I left there about midday (I think 8O ) and headed over to Jamie's (cookie's) flat. Much hilarity all round, when x-amount finally made it round having left the RF at closing, driven load of my mates to an afterparty at my house, come down to Fire, somehow got separated from us again, got lost and ended up in Ilford, before coming all the way back to Jamie's. So.....Dan (x-mount) walks in finally, at about 3pm, sits down and asks Babs and I "So...is this your flat then?" Apologies Babs, I really didn't mean to deny cohabiting with you so vehemently

The madness appeared to have ended later after Tom came to pick up Babs and very kindly dropped me home too. I had been in bed for an hour when The Lift Soundsytem gang arrived back at my house from the pub. So......the honourable thing to do was get back on it. Which I did.......until 11 last night 8O :!:

In the office for 7.30 this morning been on the phone since 6.30am.....I'd be tired if I had the time to  .

Sounds like you all had fun!

Are you surprised the numbers were down though?

I noticed a lot of people made the big road trip for the first one, but no so with the second.

Would it not be logical to hold one in a more central location so more members could get there a little easier.

There is life north of Watford Gap as they say ;)

In hindsight, it's not a big surprise that numbers were down. The first one attracted people from all over and they aren't gonna travel every time we do one. Just need to do more promoting to the world outside Spotlight. This will include So.... events in other parts of the country, So.....watch this space.

To be honest the reason we appeared to be light on numbers early on is that Ben (BBS) and Alex tore the roof of room two, and there was enough people squeezed in there to fill the room one dancefloor when they hit it!

Sounds like a fab night! Again apologies for the no-show at the after-show

how did yr nite go????

:D

Good thanks mate! Just love playing in that DJ booth, lots of shiny toys to play with.. and my last 15 mins was really great... until then it was a bit quiet, but still loads of fun..

Spent most of the night in the funky room enjoying Kenny Hawkes and Kev 'KGB' Bird's sets - seriously good tunage that kept us dancing til close 8)

Buckley cheers for a great night mate.

Room 2 was rocking BBS and Alex were spot on I even found myself throwing a few shapes a la Babs

Krysko's set was great too but i didnt enjoy it that much towards the end tho but it was all good mate.

Really enjoyed Am at Fire too, all in all a top night.

Prob be seeing you again soon :P

Although the numbers were a little down on last time it still worked out really well. Starting off with BBS warming up room 2 then with great organisational skills all moving into the main room to pack that out for the rest of the night made it another blinder So event.

Now looking forward to Ministy of So... then July's event back at the homeground of So @ The Rhthym Factory.

p.s Buckley go and get some sleep mate!
