i dont believe that for one minute johnny, as you rightly pointed out platini has been making noises about this for a couple of seasons now, what i do find rich (no pun intended) is how suddnenly theres a new kid on the block with infinitely deeper pockets and surprise surprise ambramovic, berlusconi et al are 100% behind it

I'm with Morbyd on this one about the Champ League.

Straight knock-out competition is the reason why teams like Steau Bucharest and Aston Villa won the European Cup.

This format I believe is pretty much spot on at the moment.

Not convinced about having the whole season with big european games. I think I like the domestic games because it makes the European nights more special
