....very much to all who came down from here (many of whom are still over there - lucky buggers) and indeed those who weren't on the island but were kind enough to text messages of support on the day. 8)
Despite worries that we would fall foul of the law/disco mafia* (*delete as you believe) with Jason & Nick of Es Vive reminding us of recent visits and threats of closure, we made it through the day without a problem. According to the Es Vive chaps it was one of the busiest days of the summer and still not a peep from the police - phew!
Shame that Dempsey & Mark Sun never made it over in the end due to college & work commitments repsectively but Ben Findlay (BBS) and Marcus Guinane (marcusg) were more than able to fly the flag anyway (thanks fellas!!) before Moneypenny's stalwart Jim Ryan took to the decks around 5.30pm. Ben took over again about 6.30pm and then, around 8 (I think
) we moved inside to Es Vive's Smirnoff Experience Bar!
By early afternoon we had quite a few recognisable faces with us: the Hed Kandi trio of Matt Collins, Paul Wilkins and John Jones (always good to see ya chaps), Lee Garrick, Rob Marmot, Manumission ressie Colin Peters, Johnny Golden and the Manumission girls (big hugs to my friend Kerry, a Manumission girl herself, who brought as many as she could down with her from the Manu carry-on at Space).
All a bit of blur once we moved inside to be honest, but I know I was passed out in a hotel room while Ben was still playing
Not very professional I know, but it was my first do in Ibiza and it was great - I got I bit excited
