Smoking Ban: Can You Smoke in Ibiza's Clubs?

True, but same could be said for someone doing a pill in the middle of the dancefloor. spotting a smoker in the act should a little easier. Plus I don't get burnt by pills, its the bloody cigarettes that annoy me.

I hadn't thought about that. It was pretty bad in the UK at first so imagine it will be far worse in mid august in Ibiza!
 
Seemed to me that in Amnesia people were smoking but being discreet. They were being less discreet about shoving vast amounts of bugle up their hooters.
 
there was a quote earlier in this thread saying Amnesia now has a smoking area.... is that not built yet or people just didn't realize it was there?

In an earlier thread, Amnesia said they would have to make a separate provision for a smoking area.

Does anyone know if they've done this yet or do you have to position yourself carefully and tank a quickie when the ice cannon fires ?

As hosts for Cocoon (& Sasha @ Tonight 26/7) it's v. frustrating to still have this place in my 'won't go bin' .... :evil:
 
yes there is a small smoking area by the entrance of the club, it's not a new area but just part of the car park barricaded off, i only found this out when i was leaving. however i saw alot of people smoking in the club still and staff weren't taking to much notice!
 
Thx - sounds promising .. really trying not to flout the ban now and gets not much fun having to hide it like a schoolboy :spank: inside after a while..

I take it those in the car park were being allowed back in ?

this was not the case in the times I was there. There was a strict no exit policy
 
You don't want to go because you can't breathe if people sneak a smoke in there and I don't want to go because they won't make proper provision for smokers to have a puff outside and go back in. Sounds like no-one is going to be happy until they make a proper arrangement to accommodate everyone ???? It's up to you Amnesia ...
 
Yes, Amnesia really needs to sort this out! Especially as the season and the ban are in full swing now.

This is unrelated, but I've also always wished there was a second entrance between the main room and terrace so as to relieve the bottleneck from hell, especially at crazily packed events like the Cocoon closing party.

Despite my moaning, it's still one of my favourite places on earth 8)

That's quite funny actually. Reminds me of when smoking on aircraft was being phased out and Air France decided to ban it from Economy Class, but provide smoking bars at the back of First and Business, then First only until it eventually went from everywhere. The cabin crew virtually had to set up barricades to stop people sneaking in to the First Class bar for a drag or 2 and to prevent mass mutiny in the ranks.

What's that ciggy really worth to you, eh ?

yes they do actually, you just need to be discrete. The irony that some people are indulging with xyz but folks were being pulled up for having a cig!

I never had an issue though and neither did everyone else around me, maybe we were just lucky?
