Sleeping pills

Tried NN last night - ity didn't work  plus I had WEIRD dreams when I did sleep!

How can anyone not sleep on Night Nurse 8O If I'm woken up after a couple of Night Nurse sleep I'm staggering round the place as if I'm half drunk I'm in such a deep sleep

not sure its half of the recommended dose - well I thought as I haven't got a cold etc that I shouldn't have the whole lot!:D

I can get to sleep I just keep waking up and stressing and not being able to get back to sleep! Its doing my head in!

Ive got exactly the same problem!...getting quite stressed as well...wake up at 430 every day for the last two weeks...might try some of this night nurse

I've been having real trouble sleeping recently (think its nerves about new job etc etc..) Just wondered if anyone had got any tips? Really don't want to go down the sleeping pills route - they won't mix well with the diet pills! :D

I never really have much trouble sleeping unless I have had a really heavy weekend, but my sister used to be really bad for drifting off. She tried lavender oil. She lets the scent burn in her bedroom an hour before going to sleep. I ain't really a fan of all the natural/herbal stuff and as i said, I can't exactly speak from experience, but she swears by it!

I went through a phase of not being able to sleep during a stressful phase a few years ago. I tried some relaxation exercises out of The Big Book of Calm, but I didn't get on with them - breathing exercises make me feel like I'm going to hyperventilate. I used to find listening to Classic FM (quietly) helped me to drop off. :?

I normally find when Jon is going on one of his boring rants about Marlon Brando / Buddism / Socialism / Dalai Lama / Ancient Greece etc etc that's enough to send me off into a deep slumber!

I should lend him out as an alternative to night nurse

so I tried the 5-htp things they didn't work either! Took some this afternoon cos I felt a bit down and god do I feel weird!!

Noddy pills - what a cute term!

Anyway, none of those over the counter concoctions can calm me down, so when I need a noddy pill I see a doctor and get Ambien. It's said to be habit forming, but in my experience, if you use it when you don't need it, you'll wake up with the worst hangover. A 30 day supply usually lasts me two or three months. If your insomnia is truly something that needs pills and can't be cured with a good shag or other natural methods, then spending a few bucks to see a doc and get a prescription for Ambien is worth it.
