You could stay in San An for that, but if you do stay in San An try to stay near the sunset strip, it's not right in the middle of everything and you get the most beautiful views and the bars are lovely too.
There's the Catalina Hotel which is directly above Savannah, it hasn't got a pool, but you only need to walk 2 seconds and you've got a pool at the Kanya bar or Coastline.
