Sil - Barcelona question

Thanks folks.

Sil - I'll tell the lads will visit another time when you're home then:lol:

Will book that restuarant. I love tuna steaks!!!!8) We a land at BCN at 20.30 on the Friday, so perhaps that night.

Babs - bus idea sounds good for the Sat or Sun.

Ever so excited. I've never been and although I think Anna has on modelling jobs she's never had time to see anything there. It was a surprise but I've just told her and she's very happy.8)

Yep it's a perfect relaxing way to spend half a day - try and do it before it gets too late tho, we were there similar wkend last January and the days were gorgeous sunshine but by late afternoon it did get quite chilly esp if you're on an open top bus.

You will love it, it is the most amazing city. The area where you are staying is fantastic, very localised and away from the busy tourist areas, we just spent hours sat in little cafe bars watching the world go by over a bottle of wine.

Jealous

Oh btw there is a pet shop close to where you are staying with the cutest dogs in kept in the smallest cages  Try and release them if you can please

My must-dos for what they are worth:

Segrada Familia (sp??)
Parc Gruel (in fact we did that as part of the tourist bus thing which was a great way to see the city and stop off wherever you want)
Nou Camp (try and watch a game, even if there's no game on go for the tour cos it's such an amazing stadium)
Torre d'alta Mar (if you want a really lovely fancy restaurant with amazing views of the city)
Lunch at Agua (get a table outside if it's sunny)

You can do a Modernist route:
You start at Palau de la Música, then up all Passeig de Gràcia with Pedrera, Casa Batlló, Casa Ametller and teh other one that I never remember the name  then you can take the bus to Sagrada Familia and climb up the towers and then take the bus or the metro to Parc Güell :D That route derserves a whole day (that counts as three must dos:lol: )

Gothic Quartier, it's one of the bigggest concentrations of medieval arquitecture, there's few hidden squares which are little gems and it's allways a pleasure to wander around, it's much more than las ramblas, you are actually staying in one corner of GQ.

Barça plays against Celta that weekend, to see Camp Nou in full glory is an experience more than a football afternoon and if you are lucky, you could see Eto'o back for the first time after his long term injury 8)

I would say a Museum. I like lots Fundació Miró, it's sitted in one of the hills and close to Mies Van der Rohe pavillion, which you can't visit the inside but it's all in glass and actually the inside only has a couple of chairs. Other great museum is Macba (contemporary art), or CCCB (contemprary culture), both buildings are amazing

I know, Im not even gonna bother calling my Dad and Brother for a day or two.

well i figure that is better than being grumpy/bitter, etc. altho i'm sure the enemy wouldn't say so as it is normally her on the receiving end.
