When I went to London I was discussing the Colleen book (which I don’t own….as of yet) with a girlfriend and a guy I know said to me….”you read way too much trash….you should just leave the trash to Heat etc. and read a PROPER book and learn something!”

I love the Shopaholic series! Glad to hear that the latest installment is good. Although I still have yet to read Sophie Kinsella's previous novel, 'The Undomesticated Goddess'. Would like to read it when I am in Marbella next month but unfortunately I am forced to read loads of work-related rubbish atm (namely, psychology books and journals). So, hopefully I get the chance to read a bit of mindless pap in Ibiza over the summer. I enjoyed Kinsella's other novel, 'Can You Keep A Secret?' as well.
Another recommendation for light reading is Wendy Holden. Not forgetting Heat Magazine of course.![]()
I finished "Anybody Out There?" by Marian Keyes last night. I do like her stuff, even though it feels like a bit of a guilty pleasure reading chick lit.
I really want to read this, it comes highly recommended in Heat![]()

It was a good read, especially if you've read any of her others about the Walsh sisters ("Rachel's Holiday" being my favourite, actually made me want to go to rehab).

Ive read all of Marian Keyes books and am going to get Anybody Out There as soon as I have finished How To Walk In High Heels![]()
Marians website is pretty funny too http://www.mariankeyes.com/
I can also recommend Jane Green http://www.janegreen.com/
For a male perspective http://www.mikegayle.co.uk/
Lisa Jewell is really good too http://www.lisa-jewell.co.uk/
Wendy Holden is err ok, bit hmm cant think what! http://authorpages.hoddersystems.com/WendyHolden/new.htm
I read the Devil Wears Prada quite a few years ago and it is different to the film, the boss is more evil!
Ive read so much trash I cant remember half of what Ive read! I read every dayIve just taken sh*t loads of books to a charity shop.
Id just like to add that I do read more intelligent things as well, just not as often lol!![]()
I wouldnt if I was you![]()
Lol! I have to keep my brain engaged in things other than gossip and shopping!! But the more intelligent books I read are along the lines of Irvine Welsh, Class of 88, Spanish Highs and other 'dance' related books, so not massively intelligent lol!![]()
I have definitely lost brain cells in the last few years so I really must read something more challenging to try and get them back so to speak![]()
a good place to start is The White Island, cos its quite intelligent as its historic but also enjoyable cos its about Ibiza and theres a few pics in there if youre really struggling
