The boys in blue looked stunning on Tuesday 8)

The perfect answer to all the "money money" talk. The team Chelsea fielded that night cost less than 4 of Man U's players.

Notice that Rio aint going the states for the tour, or rooney....is that because they've got "form"???

My mate Jim, who genuinely is a genius of sporting knowledge, was at Highbury last night, claims that they'll have to create a new language to describe Bergkamps performance last night, because there isn't anything sufficient in current usage!

Haven't even seen the highlights yet.

Note to self: try and get home from Friday night for Soccer AM

it was a traumatic night in the PL household last night - I couldnt believe what I was watching...... 8O 8O It was like a car crash - you dont want to look but you know you will - had to go to bed to get away from mr PL... :?

"dont care if we lose 10-0, were in 4th place!!!!"

(dunno who's car stereo he had in his bag though??" ;)

Im an Everton fan.....dont know if I should admit that at the moment!!
Was at the game....but in the Arsenal end....which made it worse. We didnt even turn up....should have scored in the first three minutes when Arteta was clean through but after that, we were hopeless.
I did go to the game expecting to lose by three goals but seven was just ridiculous.

I'm afraid, even as a neutral, I have to concur. It sounds like the only reason they didn't manage the full 'first to ten wins' is because the lad who's ball is got called in for 'tea' by his mam.

Dont even know how you can say that - I am an Everton fan through marriage (it was either that or Catholicism :D ) I have watched this team for 15 years now through thick and thin - FA cup final 1995 and through the depressing days of almost being relegated but saving themselves by the skin of their teeth and this season has been magnificent for them, David Moyes has been a saviour for that club and the players have responded to him and his ways - I am proud of what they have achieved this season considering they were written off after losing to Arsenal first game of the season.... ok last night was an embarrassing spectacle but you cant judge the team on that one performance after the season they have had...... they may not be Chelsea or Arsenal - but they are up there with the Man Uniteds and Liverpools..... end of rant..

Fired up PL? Been at the yeo this morning?

No I didnt mean it like that.
Of course Im proud to be and Everton fan and Ive been a fan since I was 8yo during the great days of Adrian Heath, Graeme Sharp, Tony Cottee. Kevin Ratcliffe etc and have remained a true fan through all the bad times even though all my friends were jumping on the Man U bandwagon.
What I meant was that I was setting myself up for abuse after last night by saying I am an Everton fan but as you said we can put up with it as we have had a very good season and deserve to be where we are.

However, i will add to my last comment by saying we are still a long way off being as good and professional as a team like Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United. Yes, the Everton guys deserve all the praise for getting 4th place and getting into the Champions League but they are still professional footballers paid ridiculous sums of money to go out and win games and losing 7-0 is just not professional and David Moyes knows that and thats why he said last night he was "embarrassed".
You would never see Chelsea, Arsenal or Man United go out and turn in a performance like that just because their season was effectively over.

  No I just had to suffer a few phone calls from Arsenal fans last night during the game, Mr PL's black mood (he was like a disappointed Dad after the game last night (you know the silence and the shaking of the head....) and then had to listen to a bunch of Newcastle fans giving me sh1t this morning (hello!!!!) so was just venting my spleen somewhat - sorry Spunky - didnt mean to have a go at you..... I just get sick of the press going on about "how lucky Everton have been this season" not that they havent worked their arses off this season and how any respect or positive feedback is still given by a lot of the papers grudgingly...... spent too many years in an Evertonian environment due to the "in laws" - its been like being in "The Moonies" - its rubbed off on me....

(to think I didnt even like football that much until 1990)
