send stuff home - which possibilities ?

wanted to send box full of ibiza magazines+flyers (ca.10kg) to germany.
just was in DHL-office in industrial zone near dusvo-gasstation.
they want 149 € :mad::eek:o_O

any idea what to do ?
i already have 2x23kg luggage for flight back.
these dirty hounddogs from airberlin want 119€ for the additional 23kg. till last year everything was ok (2x32kg allowed)...
 
We went over by about 3kg a few year back on each case and Thomson charged the pleasure of 96 euros! Yes, the extra weight was the Pacha & Ushuaia mags that I was bringing back with flyers. Worst part was the flight was then delayed by 5 hours, didn't tell me that until i paid the 96 euros mind :twisted:

Let's just say I've learnt my lesson & all mags go hand luggage :D

no. should they be much cheaper ?
maybe i try to smuggle it as cabin baggage ;)
if they try to fck.me i throw the whole shit in.the next rubbish bin :confused::(:mad:o_O
 
I'm no expert but I'd go and ask. I sent a small packet to switzerland a while ago and that cost me about 10€ if I remember correctly. sure, 10kgs will cost more, but I'd think it should be cheaper than DHL.

not many years ago they almost gave a F how much baggage you brought on the flight from ibiza back home.
wether you have 1kg more or 23kg more ... airberlin charges now something like 120€ flat. (probably because they are more or less skint ...)
 
my luggage was 3kg more :23kg instead of 20kg allowed, i put the pacha mag & iu mag & 500g of dry fruit, on my beach bag so suitcase 20kg in plane, my drum stuffed with underpants tshirt in my drum bag 8kg + my beach bag 3kg with me in cabin & everything was fine :cool: ...brought some stones things i wont do anymore for my next trip

For ibz aug 2016 im with vueling so 23kg :)
Will buy more chorizo & red ham at market nou av de catalunya :) kind 3kg :D, juste one bottle of hierbas & some miniatures at the big liquor store beginnin west end, the street leadin to savanah café ...

thanks namaste. in the meantime it's more like 15 kgs because some friends wanted certain magazines, too ;)
will try to smuggle them as "hand luggage" despite that i already have ca. 12 kg of hand luggage :twisted:

i was searched at ibz airport for return, because of a mellow steel knife(i'm not a terrorist :rolleyes:) & a lamp pen (it's not a mini gun :lol:) in my in my purse (used it few hours ago in order to catch piece of food dropped beween the manual break & seat)

mission successful completed !

- bag1 => 23.5 kg
- bag2 => 23.9 kg
- "hand luggage" =>
16.9kg(magazines/flyer/etc) + beach-stuff from last day + stuff bought at airport = 22 kg

69.4 kg ;)
