semi-wireless LAN

I need to implement a wireless lan complete of a router in my new house but I don't want too much cables...

So i've got 2 chances:

1. buy a wireless-router-modem ranged into 120-150 € (in my country) US Robotics or DLINK;

2. buy a dLAN-Devolo adapters that enable data communications via your in-house 230 V power circuit.

Any suggest will be appreciated

i havent had much experience with the ac network but you cant go far wrong with wireless. Just make sure you get a decent wireless card for your laptop or PC.

I've always been intriged by the whole wireless thing - something I need to know about when I finally get my laptop!:D

Who'd a thunk it? I've just got my wireless working at home. It's taken a week to get sorted but I'm now sat with my laptop on lap in the front room.8)

It seems great, but I dunno wether the phisycal channel (power circuit) should be noisy or not, and if the bit rate influences the other electronic and electric devices.

Some people says not...

Many years ago started a project which goal was to switch Web trasmissions from phone cable to electric cables, in order to reach a more capillar Internet diffusion. That project aborted cause electric cables-trasmission affected the other devices
