Self-employed

Did they say you had to go with a limited company? If not I would suggest going Self Employed by yourself. The limited company thing is bull****, it is just a way of getting money off you.

It is thru a company called CCS based in Isle of Man, they said basically I just let them know where/when I am working and send thru any expenses (even travel to work) and then they invoice my client and pay me :? Does that sound right??

I assume that they are some sort of agency??? Not really sure about that Babs and it could be complicated by the fact that they are classed as being offshore for tax purposes. Seriously, get yourself a decent accountant - they will pay for themselves 10 times over

It is a load of poo what they send  sorry. Very misleading, do the calculations and work out what is best for you.

I disagree (to a point). If when you are starting up in business, if there is the slightest amount of risk that it will fail. Then I would reccomend forming a limited liability company. If you are self employed and it all goes Pete Tong with a lot of debt, then they will take the lot, house, car, dog....

I went on my own (ltd) 4 years ago, and it was the best move I ever made... very scary at 1st, but if you are prepared to work hard and make the odd sacrifice, the rewards are well worth it!

Best of british

Not forgetting the massive tax savings and dividend payments.
