You give presents for peoples birthdays at work?

Everywhere i've worked the tradition is for the person who's birthday it is to bring in cakes!

I hate everyone i work with so i don't even do it  Fooook giving money for presents  They're people you work with not your mates, why is there a need to give money for a birthday present for them :? Odd!
It's a nice acknowledgement of people who are around you every day!

We don't just give presents, though... the birthday person has to bring snacks, wine or other beverages to toast them and/or cake. :D

Sarah and Sue have sparked quite debate haven't they???

I'm with Babs! Call me skint but I'd rather spend £3 on a drink for a friend than loads of office randoms on their birthday! :P

If the management are that worried about it they should start a birthday scheme alongside their pension. ;)

(I got £30 and a bottle of champagne on my birthday!!! How tight am I??? )

So what do you take from that - you're more popular than Eugene but not as popular as these people who get £60 presents  ;)

Bloody hell £3? if only! Found out today I was the only one to give the so called 'compulsary' £10 for one of the girls in the office, and i'm the only one who's so skint it was my last £10 till a week on Friday!
