When is the best night to go to san Josep?
Im in ibiza at the minute and fancy going for some good food and some music if there is anything on over the next week in the way of music. thanks

I'll be there tomorrow. Dinner at El Destino and then a little rock 'n roll pre-party before heading to Pacha later on. 8)

Strangely enough, my brother's name is Kito... don't think he plays reggae though!

How long have you been in Ibiza? Seems like you have been there for AGES :)

Thanks, were going to head tonight on the 8 o clock bus, should we book somewhere for food or should we be able to get a table fine(there are 2 of us)?

book for destino 971 800341 but at that time es galliner or sol de sienna should have tables free. raco verd have a nice tapa menu. i'm hoping to get in later myself after i've been to san an to watch the rugby!

they play rugby in san an?

here we go. i bought the wife a nice new cap at the sunset ashram at cala conta yesterday, saints beat huddersfield 54 - 4 (in a televised match phil) and andreas played to an unusually quiet village last night

the kid on the drums is ibiza's version of tony williams - he's been gigging since he was about 14 with all the jazzers on the island and i've seen him playing many different 'genres' (i love that word) from hard driving bop through to brazilian at tropicana.

What a great sound! Thats the sort of thing we need to see more of all over the island, sunset strip maybe? Any more venues/recommendations Stephen?

Its a great night out there. Its a must do for me every time now. A magical village vibe and a great friendly buzz in the bars and restaurants. Super music too.

still in san jose, but in the charming village of cal de bou, the cafe del jazz can be found just up the street by the els pins hotel.

run by an ibiza jazz veteran Xavi ( formerly with sandombe) there are cool jam sessions and live acts throughout the week.

We ate in San Jose a few times - Destino we had to practically beg for a table one night as they were all reserved, went to Sol de Sienna another night - which was lovely and that crap pizza place next to the church with the surliest waiter ever - what a misery - although he did get the bill wrong and we ended up paying 20€ less than we should have - Raco Verd is an excellent bar too - had a few nights in there - great music - although listening to a jazz version of Niverna was a bit too much of an assault on the ears for my liking.....:?

Is that the pizza place you're always talking about, Stephen?

You've got to reserve a table at El Destino to avoid the table-begging aspect... we learned that last year.

How was your villa, Pups?

it sure ain't. i go to can verge on the cala tarida turn off. pups is talking about la ruta - you know it's a tourist trap because all the tables are out in the boiling sun.

Villa was fecking awesome - pictures just didnt do it justice - only fly in the ointment was it was basically offroad to get to it - and we had an Astra..:lol::lol::lol::lol: Did you get my PM???

Aye that's the one - but the waiter with the Midge Ure circa '84 sideburns needs a slap - what a total miserable git, please let him know that we are sorry for interrupting his night by needing table service.....:lol:
