My 7th visit to Ibiza this year, 1st time in Playa Den Bossa. Just a quick poll to see whats the most popular for board members on here.

I did San Antonio each summer from 1995 to 2001. Did Playa for the first time then and would never go back to San Antonio. The beach is great to roll on to after a heavy night although that aside Playa isn't up to much, especially on the evening. Ibiza Town is on the doorstep though and San is, well, just a bit chavy really. At least in Playa the chavs are Italian so I can't understand any of the bull**** people are talking

I would say..

San An for 16-19 year olds

PDB for 20+

The crowd is much more mature but still "up for it" You don't get the screaming girls and the "wooping" in PDB. You also don't get a bunch of 17 year old chavs on their first holiday abroad walking down the road singing "I love ibiza, Ibiza loves me"

Agree with the above.

First went to San An when I was 17 and loved every minute of it that over the following 7 odd years I went back 8 times.

After a few years off I went back to Ibiza last year and stayed in PDB and it just ticks every box. Beach bars, clubs within walking distance, nice places to eat, Ibiza town only a walk or short drive away and no 18-30's chanting football songs.

We went to San An for 1 evening and it brought back great memories but I wouldn't want to stay there again.

Already booked up for PDB for the start of June, can't wait.

I've been 6 times to Ibiza and I've always stopped in Playa D'en Bossa. The only reason I would venture over to San Antonio is for a meal at Mambos and to watch the sunset.
Or maybe Wonderland depending on the line up. Obviously Wonderland might not be at Eden this year so there will be even less reasons to go over.

also the music bars are not playing chessy 70s or 80s stuff.ok there is big ben pub.but it gets a lot of familys in there.i would say now the bars across from space are were its happening.i mean when we love space is on.pdb is packed.resort suits me.stayed all over the island.but past 12 years now pdb is my base camp.in 12 years i seen pdb grow to what it is today.with new music bars and all those new private atps.along the front.

i just nip over like mentioned to san an.for sunset and a day visit.not putting san an down, but when you get older the westend is not for me everynight.but i still like to nip in my fav bars to chat with owners.

This is my 3rd time going and I'm staying San an as always.kind of wish I chose to stay in play den bossa going by these coments.will def be seeing more of the island this year as only ever left San an to go to clubs or waterpark

tip i would do is come over via buses which is cheap.and spend a day in pdb.looking around checking out hotels apts.then hitting the beach.or may be the same via buses again.and pop over one night for a few beers.and treat yourself to a taxi back.great if you can share one.

Well im going to stay in PDB this year having stayed in San An my previous 3 years!

Just fancied something different away from the West End etc

I will miss going down to mambo every night for the sunset but for San Antonio now is full of idiots. Im only 25 and we stayed at the marian apartments last year and me and the mrs felt like old timers it was full of 17-19 roudy gangs of lads an girls. Only 2 places ill eat in San in is Davids and Curry Club, then after the sunset theres pretty much nothing to do in San An. Theres the west end which I swerve, ibiza rocks bar etc but after you have been there 2 weeks its boring. Atleast playa den bossa has Bora Bora, Sands Bar , Ushuaire etc.

well i went to Ibiza for the first time last September and stayed in San An, yeah some of the places are a bit chavvy, but if you avoid the West End and head to Mambo every night it's amazing.
We did adventure to PDB quite a lot but i didn't get the same vibe from there as i did in San An, which was disappointing as well as very surprising.
Having said that, i am staying in PDB this year and hopefully meeting up with most of the people we met last year, so I'm sure it'll be great.
Mambo's every night will be a miss, although we did miss (on purpose) Thursday night to avoid any contact with the cheese master Guetta.

I have always stayed in pdb pretty much for the beach. For nice food we head to Ibiza Town as pdb can be abit limited in that department. The bars are quite pricey in pdb I found

i see.well if you see him tell him from me not to bother.let;s keep pdb the way it is.or it will go down hill.
