San Antonio Bay

What’s everyone’s views on San Antonio Bay?

Looking at a 4 night trip and probably would stay at Amare Beach if I could afford it and find a decent deal, or Els Pins Resort & Spa.

What’s the resort like? Seems the quieter version of San Antonio. Nice restauraunts, bars etc?

And is Amare Beach worth the money you pay for it? Seems expensive but must say it looks fantastic and particularly the rooftop bar and pool.

Done Santa Eulalia last year and want to be a bit closer to San Antonio this time, albeit for a shorter break.

All views welcome!

I like the Bay as the hotels tend to be a bit nicer, can be quieter at night etc. quite enjoy the walk round although it is a long way from sunset strip which by the end of a holiday can be a bit irritating.

Can’t really comment on the restaurants there - obviously it has Tapas

Would recommend the Bellamar Hotel, If you plan on going - 5 min walk to O Beach, and 10 mins to Tapas.
Pizza Man was not bad as well

Spent a couple of nights at the THB Naeco in October. Nice enough rooms but the area is a total shithole. Horrible loud music around the pool too when you're trying to relax. Never again. On the plus side you're out of there within a few minutes drive

San Antonio Bay a shithole?

Are there good bars in the Bay or a certain area, that accomodates for a fun, boozy night for a group of 6? Stayed in the bay on my first visit, many years ago and only ventured there since for Relish and Kumaharas, so not too familiar with the area.

As per post above yours urban lounge is good espec for sports!

Stayed in the bay in July for the first time and just found it quite annoying. Not much happening at night and even further away from the clubs. Khumaras is fantastic though.

I will be going back to Bossa for my next visits. I have given san antonio and the bay a fair whack and I just cant take to it.

I stayed mid august near Khumaras...had a few nice meals and some good beer ...my top tip was use the water taxi and learn the times it runs ...makes it no problem been over there

Fair point. I think it really depends what you're predominantly looking to do on your holidays.

I completely agree if you want to be amongst it in the evening its not the best place, unless you like a bucking bronco.

We are going there for the 1st half of the holidays to make the most of the beaches on that side like Bassa and Comte which are our favourites. Regular busses make that location ideal. We'll also be trying some restaurants in the area. During this period we're probably only out-out once though.

We will be moving to the other side of island once we start to go out-out more often 😜
