San Antonia or Playa Den Bossa?

Hey party goers, I am an Ibiza virgin and I was wondering where is better to go Playa Den Bossa or San Antonia?
I got a good price for Hotel Brisa in San Antonia or the Jet appartments in Playa Den Bossa.

I am hoping to go the 9th June for a week or 16th.

Anyone with any advice I would be delighted, cheers

I personally prefer PdB. You've got a nice beach right there, as well as Bora Bora and Space. It's also close to Ibiza Town.

I'd recommend going the 16th as there's a lot of good opening parties during that week (though early indications are there'll be a couple of openings that previous week as well.)

PDB great advantage is its beach. San An's beaches are very small man made affairs.

Both have lots of bars but I reckon San An has a greater quantity and range of both bars, small clubs and restaurants.

San is a bigger resort in general I feel mainly because its primarily a town/village that has grown into a a resort whereas PDB is first and foremost a resort (*will stand corrected*:? )

I'd also say there was more of a mix of nationalities in PDB whereas San An is largely british tourists.

San An has sunset, PDB has sunrise:roll:

I don't think PDB in itself is a particularly nice resort but it's so handy to stay there cos you've got Space/DC10 on your doorstep. But for restaurants, nice bars etc there's not very much to offer, in fact the only place I will eat in PDB is Passion.

Have you thought about Figuretes or Ibiza Town if you want to be on that side of the island but as an alternative to PDB.

I personally prefere Talamanca, nice beach, lovely places to eat, handy for pacha and el divino and not a bright red beer gut in sight. (except my own)

We having this dileema this year too!

For the past 4/5 years we stayed in San An....primarialy because i just love being near coastline in the day and seeing the sunset in an evening. PdB looks alot better in terms of location, but for me ibiza has to have a sunset etc

my future home sandi..............*drifts into daydream*:D

I love Talamanca. Stayed there 2 years in a row. Easy to catch the little shuttle boat over to Ibiza Town harbor. Short walk back from Pacha or El Div (or even shorter taxi ride if events warrant ). Nice restaurants as well.

The only thing I don't like is the beach. Too many plants growing the water (and no Bora Bora )

PDB is a fairly horrible resort but you have a great beach, Bora Bora and Space on your doorstep, cheaper places to stay and only 15 minutes on the bus to the town and 10 minutes by taxi to DC10. We usually stay there but Figueretas is almost as handy and a bit nicer. I love San An but it doesn't have a good beach, is more expensive and isn't as convenient. I definitely wouldn't stay out on the bay again, too much hassle and too many families.

Pdb for sure.. I asked this same question 347839 times on this forum a couple of year ago..

Each time I've been to Ibiza, I think i've gone once to san anfor a total of about 2 hours.
Pdb in itself is kind of tacky.. but close to Space bora bora

In general a million times better than bora bora IMO

I realize it's only seaweed, but I don't like the sensation of getting seaweed wrapped around my toes.

Plus, the last few times I was on the beach in Talamanca it was covered with large elderly German women whom most of us just don't need to see topless. :?

Nah - I'm with Morbyd on this one - I just cannot go in the water if there is a big black seaweed patch before getting to the nice clear sandy bottom of the sea, same with rocks!! I stood on a sea anenome in 2001 and was in agony for 2 days, which culminated in a very very swollen leg and having to have the spines removed by a doctor on a sunday morning with a scalpel and a sterilised needle while sitting around the pool of the hotel, in a right state due to my phobia of having my feet touched ...... not a good thing, you just dont know what lurks beneath seaweed ... uurrrggghhh!!

I totally agree, beaches should just contain sand...no rocks or seaweed!! Anyone else scared of swimming quite far out when it gets all dark? I've worked as a lifeguard for the past 6 years, but still scares the **** out of me:oops:

On another note, I shall be staying in PDB this year after 5 years in San An. Used to just stay there for some of the bars and sunsets etc, but after discovering Bora Bora last year, its definitely going to be PDB this year:p

I just came up with a cracking idea. As Bora bora is by far the best bar in the universe why don't they build some apartments attached to it so we can all stay there?
