San An club for the more mature....

:o

... when I was in SA in July this was the first time ever
that I was not approached by any PR's.
Initially I was please about this as they all irritate me
but then realised they are obviously not apporaching me as they think I am too old
:spank:.
I am only 34 FFS:!: ...

I'm now 37 and have been going to Ibiza since 98 and whilst I do notice I'm getting a bit older it still doesn't put me off going to any particular nights or places I fancy.
One thing I have noticed is that the hangover takes longer to go than normal though.
One thing to consider if you are only looking to try a club for the experience is to get the early bird tickets for We Love @ Space. Afternoon down at PDB, experience bora bora and then cheap entry to an amazing club.

Hey Andrew, have you ever found yourself in Delilah's bar in the West End? your name rings a bell.

its a shame there are not more, if any??, clubs like the grafton in ibiza, you can call me old or tight, but i refuse to pay more than the hourly national working wage for a drink or admission to any club that only offers pre recorded music, then again i felt this way when i was a kid too, basically i refuse to get ripped off.

Didn't see the advice of BlackSwann before I left, but that's just what I did.

Had a fantastic time at Ibiza Rocks watching Example, but really felt like a fish out of water (pervert!) at Es Paradis. Glad I went in to see how fantastic it is inside, but we didn't stay long. It looked to me as if no one was over 25, never mind 45.

Had a great night at Cafe mambo when Eric Prydz was playing (140 euro bill, but I'm old so can afford it). Other than that we had a couple of nights on the West End (really enjoyed it, and fitted right in), and a couple of nights we just stayed at the other side of the bay.

Had day trips to Ibiza and Santa Eulalia, so all-in-all we had a fantastic, if very busy week.

Think it helped being with the Mrs, and wouldn't fancy it with a gang of lads my age, as overall saw very few of us 'old fogeys'.

Maybe it was just where we were, but hardly saw any 'live acts' / pub bands. I thought there'd be more of them. Seems that they only cater for the dance music.

Would I go again.... Probably, but would give the clubs a miss and just do Ibiza Rocks if I fancy the group.

Thanks for the input - especially the non sarcastic ones!!

Ciao

specsavers for you if you couldn't find any live music. there was more than ever in san an and the bay while you were there because of the st barts fiesta and the normal venues which have regular live bands

i think its a pity there is not more(not dj's and dance) going at night here, with relation to the hotels, most live music seems to start and end between 10 and 12, taking in to account a couple of hours of mini disco, club dances and bingo, that's not much to attract the older types here, and i can only wonder what the younger(20's) types think of dodgy drinks in plastic glasses and bob the builder on the disco, maybe this is some sort of subliminal conditioning for what to expect in the big clubs.
