Girl in work said she saw it in a paper (must be true!) that Ryanair are to fly from Scotland in 2007...

anyone shed any light on this tale?

Are you sure she didn't mean Easyjet from Glasgow to Ibiza - that is starting this year, was just announced yesterday.

I travel Ryanair back and forth to Dublin every week and I would not want to use them for anything more than an hour's flight.

No safety net if they delay or cancel - just tough sh1t and no room on board. I though they were pretty much on a par with Easyjet but then I took an EZY flight last year for the first time and the boys in orange are SOO much better to fly with.

I heard this on Radio One, there are more flights going to Ibiza all over or something. But then again I could be wrong. They def said Glasgow though.

Doubt it would be with Ryanair considering they don't do Ibiza at all.

Had a gander at the Easyjet schedule and the flights from Glasgow are really limited - about a couple each way per month. :?

2 flights a month - sounds like a successful way to run a business :? 8O

If you live in Scotland are there not a lot of flights to Ibiza??

We're supposed to be getting flights from Aberdeen to Ibiza for the first time this year...haven't seen any deals yet though:?

Well, there are loads of package ones but flight only ones. You can do Globespan but they're about £75 each way exc taxes, so hardly a bargain.

A good excuse to go via somewhere else and extend the holiday though!

globespan changed all their flight-times and they are pretty rotten (imho), and the prices shot up as well. im sure the times will be better for others but they knocked my plans on the head. im looking at packages now, although i preferred the freedom (and extra time on the island) and cheapness of independant travel.

ive found some half decent deals for pdb for next september. will mean forking out an extra 60-70 quid though (most likely going straight into a travel agents pocket).

just checked Easyjet site. Great prices. But they stop short of the Closing Week!

Arghhhhh. Package holiday I think for me. Need that week off in October!
