Ryanair flight, back from Ibiza!

I'm more referring to the morons who take their toddlers to places like Picsis Park or Ibiza Rocks, slap bang in the middle of San Antonio.
They expect some kind of Scarborough Butlins experience with clowns and jugglers and then take to Trip Advisor to vent their frustrations on lack of said entertainment, and the high dosage of house music and rowdy 18-30's

TBH, if you've ever been on a 'rowdy' flight you'll know how bad they can be and it can't be safe with just 3 or 4 air (usually) hostesses to deal with any trouble. Ibiza's the only place I've been to which seems to inspire mass break outs of this sort of behaviour on a flight. (I know someone who's described these flights like a bar in a sky.) I was a bit annoyed I couldn't get my usual bottle of wine on the way out, but I can see why a ban is in place.

I hate rowdy flights. It's one thing being excited but another being loud and annoying or even worse aggressive. Same on a train etc I just want to have a chill and a bit of banter with my mates. You are in the way to Ibiza for Christmas sake you have the whole holiday to act a fool.

Specially when flights like that have kids on you have to respect others. It's an amazing island even of you take the clubs away o there's bound to be family's on there so just call the f*** down and relax.

I've fortunately not been on many rowdy flights. Worst one was 2 years ago back from Amsterdam with one wankers swearing and being loud before we had even took off. My gf told him to watch his language and he got very abusive. I told him to watch his mouth and never speak to her like that again then we had to get in our seats to take off. He was sat being saying that he was gonna knock f*** out of me once we were in the air.... Karma was a batch though and 5 mins later he spewed on his mate because of a bit of turbulence and him being f***ed. He spend the rest of the flight cleaning himself up white as a sheet trying not to be sick again.

Well that's it, they put themselves in this position by continually serving these people drinks. imo it should be a dry flight anyway, if you can't go 2.5 hours without a drink you've got problems.
I agree very hypocritical, stern emails, serching hand luggadge etc, even though i do back the controlling of alcohol on the plane and the booze trolly only makes two laps so to speak and you can tell theyre watching it.

Not that hypocritical (and, despite the e-mail warning, I didn't see anyone get searched). IME the main source of the problem is people who sneak stuff on from duty free and really aren't that discrete about adding to what they've bought on flight, then acting like idiots. The real issue here is the people who spoil it for everyone else. You're in a tin can, up in the sky, with only a small number of flight attendants to deal with anything that kicks off - it's not much to ask for people to tone it down a little. It's prob easier for them to ban booze altogether rather than have attendants refuse customers.

Was on a flight from Barcelona to Ibiza on NYE and i was expecting complete chaos but it turned out to be like a morgue...

Every hand luggage quickly got searched boarding our ryan air flight 1/7,thought it would take ages but it was pretty quick..They are sending mixed msgs with the booze but like was said above if you cant wait two hours for a drink bit sad...I Save my partying for DC10S,dont need it on the plane tbh, they can ban it for me but i can live with the current set up if need be [ear plugs].

Met a woman on my flight one year that has a house in Figueretas say she prefers to fly to Barcelona, then to Ibiza to avoid the rowdiness.

Maybe Spanish residents get a bit less excited about Ibiza than us Brits do because Spain is freer in general when it comes to late night drinking, clubbing, etc? Or are Spanish yoof just a bit better behaved?

Think it might be to do with the weather as well... We don't get to see the sun too ofter in Belfast so it's great to be going somewhere where the sun will be... :)

I've been on a flight recently from Newcastle to Ibiza. 12 guys sat together early 20s having a drink and a bit crack with each all excited about their holiday. Swearing and some laughing. Air hostess said keep it down they did. A older (stuck up) women kept telling the air hostess to tell them again but she wouldn't because there was no need. In the end the women lost it and hit one of the guys causing an uproar. The poor young guys got the blame and nearly had the plane landed in France.

Stereotypical view from the air hostess didn't even believe the young guys story

I'm flying via Madrid tomorrow (later this morning actually) from Edinburgh so hopefully will be nice and chilled...
No problems whatsoever on either flight. Rip-off prices for something to eat in Madrid airport whilst waiting on connecting flight but my son was loving the Real Madrid shop...he's a Ronaldo fanatic!
