Royksopp in Ibiza?

I just bought their Melody AM album yesterday and thought it is amazing :D Does anybody know if they are due to play in Ibiza anytime over the summer? Probably very unlikely but me & my boyfriend would love to check them out if they are there.

Seen them on the TV at Glastonbury and some friends saw them at T in the Park last week. When they play live they are not as mellow as Melody AM, more full on and funky. They rock!!!

i dont like 'em, but that might be some to do with them being norwegian  . im prejudiced, i know, but how can any good dance music come out of norway..... :p  ;)

well we were talking about zero 7 also, but i guess you mean royksopp - and what the h*ll does nationality have to do with the quality of what comes out of the loudspeaker. Royksopp is great!

 for the record i dont like zero 7 either, that much, but at least they are british

norwegians know fock all about dancemusic....but ask them about death-metal, now there is a genre they specialise in. ;)

gee A you really have issues with nationality. why bother replying to this thread in the first place then? i dont care if the music is from Africa, Japan or the US, as long as its good.

but i dont think their music is good, thats is the whole point. different perhaps, but it doesnt do it for me.i must be allowed to state my opinion too, or... that they are norwegian just add to the 'not credible facor'. ;)

i see, all norwegian people are not able to make good music, thats what youre quite unintelligently stating, my god!? never mind, yea we all have op´s but some are just plain stupid, stating that nationality has anything to do with thier credibility....oh well someone´s grumpy this morning i guess!

royksopp are carcker live.. take on a whole new vibe...

suits a club atmosphere very well.. cant wait to see them again :)

Saw them at the brixton academy supporting Basement Jaxx.... Only heard eple before that but they blew me away! Awesome live!

no im stating they are not able to make dancemusic, that do it for me. at least that is my experience so far.....im not saying that royksopp are pants, just not my prefered choice of listening. also i was being just slightly sarcy about the norwegian bit, but as they say, there is always a grain of some truth in it.....actually im not too jolly, as i havent slept all that much, but that shouldnt affect my view on royksopp ;).

but then again the scandinavians are not very high on irony now are they ;).

I saw Royksopp live at T in the Park last weekend and they blew me away. They put so much into their performance and 'Remind Me' was as beautiful as ever.

Interesting version of Coldplay's 'Clocks' as well...

If you like Røyksopp try Ugress...

If you like Røyksopp try Ugress as well.. They rock

A lot of high quality Dance Music comes out of Norway. Quality has nothing to do with nationality. It has to do with the love for what you are doing.. :!:

true..... but it also got to do with a something else, when it comes to dancemusic, something less definable. most of the producers of dance music has been involved in the scene on all levels, and im not saying royksopp hasnt but the country norway, has got a different feel to its dance music than lets say, britain, france and the us. not bad, just different, and thats good for the people who like it, and there seem to be many people who like royksopp, so good for them. norway dont have much of a housescene though, but i wouldnt say royksopp are house either. norway is on the whole still stuck in the rock/alternative era, that many of us left behind when we got into house. the scene never really took off in norway, and that i feel is because of the general consensus on drugs, quite simply. people in norway have got a very strong negative attitude to illegal substances, on the whole, and imo, thats why the dancescene always stayed underground there, and even there it wasnt much to talk about.
