Roll Call for So... next week? Yay or nay?

get ready for super cheesyness... I've been knockin up a track in honour of so.... I was real bored tonight so i thought i'd mess about with an electro kinda thingy... Then i slapped buckleys original "so.." post into a 'you talk it types thing'. Vola!

It actually doesnt sound as cheesy as i thought it would... I think i will finish it for tomorrow and then sneak up to stu wearing a mark sun wig and try and mix it in!! :lol:

Can someone remind me...

Is The Rhythm Factory a sweat box? I seem to remember it was pretty dark and small ish, but with a good height ceiling.

Would I be best wearing a short sleeve t-shirt only?

(gotta sort out my clothes now as going out straight from work tomorrow)

X-amount, one night i went in a tee and another i was wearing a jumper. Cant remember being uncomfortable either time so should you be ok to wear whatever. I think this might be a busy one this time though so prob worth going with a tee. They have a cloakroom though so no worries :)

Wicked track!

I have this thing at electro nights, that every 'revolving' bassline,, sounds like a mix of He Not In. This falls into the same gap!

"Just Hypothetically speaking...!" Haha cant wait for this.

If you bpm up the vocal, can you snd me a copy, would be a wicked acapella to use!

hehee funny u mention 'he not in' when i started playing with that bass i couldnt stop thinking of that track, hence why it resembles it. Wierd thing though, i even like 'he not in'! Maybe my tastes are changin again :O

yeah i'll sort you a pella when its done. Some bits of it sound a lil bit nasty, i had to play around with the spelling of stuff so it sounded better eg "just 'hyper thetically' speaking"!! :)
 
Damo, if you want to give it an airing at So... i'll play it for ya during my set (as long as I can get to grips with whatever CD decks they've got set up!)

they got a numark Axis 2 that belongs to the club if i recall... (same as what ive got).

Are they quite easy to use??? I've got quite a lotta stuff I wanna play off cd tonight...
 
I've only used the CDJ1000 so I'm in the same boat as you, Anil - what's the lowdown on them, Chewie?
 
theyre as simple as u can get!

diff i found compared to the CDJ-800 was pitch bending on the jog wheel of the CDJ needed a fine touch. (could be i was using em wrong - but had an hour to learn!)

U can be a bit more "forceful" on the Axis 2.
