Am I the only one in the country that doesn't nearly think it was as big a howler as everyone's making it out to be?!

It was an utter fluke, and any goalkeeping manual would have told him to be been placed exactly where he was for the cross, and fair play if he just saw it late.

I gave up on the England team a long time ago, tho can't quite understand the Robinson witch hunt that's going on?

Nah, I'm with you Dan. If anything, if it'd had gone staright in everyone would have just called the winger flukey and Robinson unlucky. Personally, I'd like to know why the two England defenders either side of the scorer were caught completely flat footed while he was alert and pounced? Once that ball was coming over one of them should of been in front of him, no question whatsoever.

And as I'm not a Spurs fan, that's completely objective;)

Robo has been a bit iffy for the last 2 years.

Was sheer brilliance for Spurs the 1st year he joined, and over the last 2 seasons, his form hasnt been that great.

Any decent keeper would have tipped it over the bar, it wasn't at a difficult height, plus if he'd have made a better save of the first shot then the resulting cross would never happened....!

I'm with Dan on the lost interest in the England team/set up...............its a shambles from backroom to pitch.....no desire any more!!!!

i had the game on for a bout 10mins, but decided it was less painful listening on the radio.

at least in my head they can play as good or as bad as i deem possible.

besides, freed up the tv for the xbox

As a spurs fan its painful but have to say it was a howler as was his air punch when he came for a cross - if that had been a goal he would have been completely slated.

Watching him for spurs it just seems like his decision making is a fraction too slow and he's leaden footed far too often.

After his brilliant 1st season thought we had a goalkeeping great in the making but his form since the world cup shows hes an above avg GK at best.

Shame!

Hasn't James been playing better at Portsmouth than Robinson at Spurs?

Not that it necessarily correllates.... but it's not the worst option for you...

Ah, to be American. Tons of top class goalkeepers. Not much else!
