He's probably working out how to plug it in

It's all plugged in  I've just got a text from him saying 'I can't wait to go to bed so I can wake up to my cup of tea'

So I tried to offer him some practical advice and said 'Why don't you get into bed, pretend you're going to sleep, set the teasmaid to go off in 5 mins time and then you can pretend it's morning'

He replies 'I've done that twice already'

I was obviously far too busy with my Morphy Richards to spot this thread last night!

Unfortunately the first test run didn't go to plan at all. :(

It took me till 1am to get to sleep from all the excitement - and then I woke up at 6.30am having to wait until 7.15 for the big moment. :?

When it finally came, it turned out that I'd added far too much milk and only placed a tea bag in one of the two available baskets...what's more, Smooth FM clicked on and Jamie Cullen was the morning accompaniment to a cup of tea that tasted like dish water.

I've learned from my mistakes and aim to perfect the art by Monday.

Any ideas which station I could wake up to?

I don't know any that play decent music...so might go for radio 2 or 4.

Life is much more complicated when you have a teasmaid.

Is it on a timer then?? whooo how fancy

I actually like Radio 2 on a weekend

I thought it would be perfect on a grown up weekend to go with the guardian and a croissant. ;)

Don't worry I'm sure practice will make perfect :D
