also last night it was the annual portinatx dance beach party with nano vergel (what's up?), josé maría ramón (ibiza global radio) and a long etcetera of djs. just been told it was busier and better than ever before.....

We joined together with the Santa Maria del Carmen patron of Portinatx village fiestas where there was an incredible party organised at the beach in Portinatx. Even though Portinatx is at the other end of the island, the whole beach was full and we found that many locals and tourists had driven from all over Ibiza to go to this party. A huge stage was erected at one end of the beach and a perfect sound system had been installed. An incredible light show was illuminating the trees, water, walls and decoration awnings that had been put up around the stage. The party featured the up & coming generation of Dj from the island as well as many good and famous local Dj’s who played magnificently mixed sets during the night. The music was a mix between trance, electro and dance & the beach was full by 2 in the morning. Having started at 10 pm, the party kept on until even later, with a great atmosphere between all the people. What a pity it’s only once a year!! This party made us remember we don’t always need of a big club to have fun and enjoy some great music to have a great time!!

I also got robbed. Out of about 24 of us who went over 10 people got moeny stolen. We were staying at the Bonaire apartments next to the Pinet Playa and arrived at about 2am last Tuesday morning. We were not expecting to be allowed to check in till the next day but the 'nice' man at reception let us put our bags in our rooms, gave us the room keys and went back downstairs. We rushed to get ready and go straight out, we waited for the rest of the group to get ready whilst the man stood with us outside having a fag and asking us questions such as 'u go discoteque?'. He told us that 'tomorrow and english woman will sort us out with keys for safe'. We didnt really think anymore of this probably as we were in a rush to go out. It would now appear that he was waiting for us to all leave. Anyway to cut a long story short, when we returned at about 7, half of us had had small amounts taken. amounts stolen ranged between 130-200 Euros, whilst it isnt a massive amount it is obviously annoying.
Whilst I know it is wrong to accuse someone without any evidence.....im going to! lol. We told the police but they couldnt give a toss. It didnt help when we told the english woman the next day and she seemed to be very strange saying stuff like 'it couldve been anyone with keys...coudlve been me'...'at the end of the day get safety deposit boxes' hang on a minute, we were told we would have to wait til tomorrow to get them. Anyway...if anyone is near the Bonaire...stick one on that bloke for me

again, i think the lesson here is to exercise caution at all times :?

got to admit, there does seem to be a lot of this being reported this summer.

reckon im gonna stick with my card as much as possible.

suppose it doesn't really help that most folks nowadays carry lots of high value items around with them. mp3 players, phones etc. the kind of things that may get left behind in a room whilst out clubbing/partying. folks can easily bump off phones/mp3 players etc. on ebay.

im convinced someone took advantage of my drunkenness and nabbed my phone, will never know though.

when you get in your room, look for places you can stash expensive items safely.

Yeh same here! Its also annoying because we were being so friendly with him the night before. Alot of the people who had moeny nicked had hidden it as best they could, inside bags inside other things etc... without safety deposit keys where were we supposed to put it? In heinz sight I would've taken all my money out with me the first night...heinz sight is a wonderful thing :(

No, we reported the robbery at reception and the receptionist said that they hasd been watching the CCTV footage as there had been a guy spotted. When we were speaking to the recptionist a group of lads overheard us and came over. One guy said that he had been sleeping on the couch in the living area and heard a knock on the door, thought it was the maid so never bothered moving. a key then turned in the lock and the robber went in, obviously thinking the apartment was empty!! The lads chased him! The receptionist said that the maids only have keys for specific floors and as we were on the 5th floor and the other lads were on the 2nd seems that someone has a master key!! Receptionist said the guy on CCTV was not a local and was an English boy!

???

in my room i removed a panel from the kitchen unit and was able to stash tickets, money, passport in there.

I dunno.... I had a laptop, iPod, cameras, videcamera... all usually lying around our hotel room in plain site. Nothing stolen.

I'd never leave cash in the room anyway so no worries there.

Well i was in San Antonio!!.. also saw another block being robbed on the way home early hours one morning, a guy was jumping from balcony to balcony.

Sorry Mikkak about your brother.
We got robbed last year in a rented house in san jordi while at renaissance/pacha.
The whole thing seemed very strangely arranged.
