RIP Tony Pike

Stayed at pikes in October, and Tony was eating lunch outside, caught a glimpse at each other and both had a quick wave and hello. First and only time but was chuffed to bits that he was there. What a life he had. Rip Tony!

‘You can check in, but you can never check out’ is the phrase emblazoned on a rustic, whitewashed storage building in our car park. Never has it seemed more apt than in these past few days; after receiving the sad news that our Hotel’s founder Tony Pike had passed away peacefully in his sleep here in Ibiza.
While Tony’s body may have left the building, there’s absolutely no question that the spirit of the first man to ever (metaphorically) check-in to Pikes will remain in his eponymously named hotel till the end of time.

 
Quite a life he had, not sure why so many women found him irresistible though? Not sure if I am missing something here, but even in the 80's when Pikes Hotel was the go to party place for celebrities he was no spring chicken, in his 40's? Yet he claims to have slept with 3000 women.. he also brags a lot about having a big knob which is a bit weird!
