The south is taking over. Hard Dance titan Riot! is rocking up to the North of the UK to bring back the fierceness of the Harder Faster Generation to Sheffield once more, whipping up a frantic storm not seen since the glory days of Insomniacz and the lunacy of the Howard. Riot! has been at the epicentre of all that is great about hard dance, sell-out after sell-out at the Brixton Academy and a distinguished reputation for creating the finest in hedonistic frolics for the nuttier raver. Sheffield won’t know what’s hit it...

And what a line-up. Heading it off is Goodgreef talisman Alex Kidd, the hard trance megastar that manages to effortlessly slide across each and every facet of the music with ease and gusto. Rocking clubs across the globe, his peerless control of his sound through Ableton means every beat, every synth and every breakdown is completely at his own instruction, ensuring the dancefloor is entirely within his grasp at every moment.

He’s joined by Hard Dance’s first lady, Anne Savage. Still recognised as the queen of the ferocious beat, Anne has been at the top of her game for years, constantly staying at the avant-garde of hard dance across the globe. Light fingered assassin Kutski, he of the quick scratch and monster range (Trance, Hardstyle, Hard House and even Hardcore and Skranz all make regular appearances!) is also in attendance. Scott Atrill rocks up, as does a superlative B2B set from scene heroes Paul Glazby and Andy Farley, Adam Lab4 with Sam & Deano rocking the support.

Sheffield's premier Trance loons Off the Rails ensure that there is an equally driving and euphoric alternative in the second room, flying in Lange to headline. Few do dream like breakdowns and mellifluous beats quite as well as this boy, and with Darren Tate joining him it’s a bombastic ensemble of the best UK trance can muster. Support in this instance comes from none other then James Alexander & Lazarus, Gio & Jamie Harrison, Tom Green & SWAP, Stuart Mort & Matt Lickess and Steve Hilling & Joe Woodruff all bringing B2B energy to the dancefloor!

The third room sees some dirty house beats come courtesy of the finest groove merchants knocking them out in Yorkshire, with Jonny Hawkins, Adam Sharpe and Alec Mills all at the helm.

Until then, dont miss OTR November -

Interview with Lange ahead of this Sundays upcoming Riot and OTR event. Its going to be massive!

1. For those who aren't familiar ,can you start by giving us a brief intro
and let us know what you have been up this year?

I've had a great 2009! Remixed Ferry Corsten, Above and Beyond, co-written
with my producer friend Andy Moor 'Stadium Four'. The follow up single to
'Out of the Sky' with Sarah Howells called 'Let It All Out' was out in
October as well as my new version of the 99 classic, 'Happiness Happening'.
Also I mixed 3 compilations this year, including the first in my 'Lange
presents Intercity' series which was out on double cd in the summer!
Touring-wise it's been very busy and to top it off I was voted 31 in the Dj
Mag Top 100 Dj Poll. A new instrumental single 'Wanderlust' is out this
month too.

2. Riot is hitting the plug in Sheffield for it Christmas bash, have you
played at plug before and do you have any particular tunes you associate
with the venue?

No, I've not played there before, looking forward to it!

3. What's been happening lately for you in the studio and will you be
dropping any of your new productions at the club?

I've been really busy in the studio working on my new artist album for 2010.
I will be testing some new tracks over xmas!

4. Do you have a particular classic you will be playing to celebrate
Christmas this year?

Yes, I'll be playing Mel & Kim - Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree as usual

5. Riot is a brand known for covering all types of tougher music with
artists on the label from judge jules to Lab 4. When you are feeling a bit
tougher which producers do favour?

I am partial to playing some tougher stuff now and then, esp in longer sets.
Artists that spring to mind are Sander van Doorn, Mark Sherry and Fabio

6. Has it been a busy christmas for you did you have anytime to kick back
and relax?

Actually I'm flat out touring over xmas. In Brazil for 23rd/24th. On a
plane xmas day headed to Slovenia for a party on 26th, then on 27th I'm up
in Sheffield at plug as you know. On 28th, I'll be chilling out.

7. What was the best christmas present you received this year?

I will let you know ;-)

8. If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe who would it be?

10. And finally tell us what you have got planned for the new year.

2010 is going to be a very busy year for me! In March I'll be releasing my
2nd intercity compilation. It will be a double cd and digital release and
will feature some brand new material from me as well as a few tasty
exclusives from my label, lange recordings. Shortly after that around June,
I will be releasing my new artist album, which I'm very excited about!
Together with a busy touring schedule, and producing my intercity podcast
every 2 weeks, I'm going to be non-stop through most of the first half of
