Richie Hawtin Enter. gossip

Calvin Harris isn't Trance.
i was talking more of the main area lineups at cream..PVD, above & beyond...

but my anti trance stance is a high held belief...it is ****ing terrible music.

i would say calvin harris is playing commercial house/trance these days...trouse whatever you want to call it....(but then again aren't all the trance djs playing house now?...im just thankfull trance does seem to be dieing out, save the future generations from listening to it.8)...that and the Judge Jules show on radio 1:lol:

Avvici is smashing it as Ushuaia on Sundays at the expense of We Love. :?
no surpise he's selling a lot of tickets for young clubbers in ibiza & to those that perhaps dont know that much about dance music, as everyone knows levels...he's a name, and its big room commercial house music

for me We love are being very brave with the lineups, some of the djs they have booked this year...sutis my tastes it has to be said, but i doubt im really the demographic most of the clubs will be trying to sell too.

Only want to do two big nights whilst out...defo going to space 23rd b-day, but then need to choose between cocoon (never been), cox (14 aug) & enter (16 Aug). Which night do you reckon is going to be harder/faster of the three? :spank: I'm gathering from comments on here that if it's the whole experience, vibe, production, then Enter should be it!
just had a look at the lineups for those dates.

for me it would be cocoon & Enter. cocoon: vath & cassy you cant go wrong in the main bit, and fingers crossed villalobos might be on form, either way your covered with the main area, and loco dice is always solid.

enter, hawtin, dubfire, and magda doing the warm up in the sake bar..its sounds great, plus i would go for the experience, check out what enter is all about, its been gettign glowing reviews everywhere i've seen.

as much as i love carl cox...im perhaps getting nostalgic from what he used to play, and fatboy slim, i'd enjoy him probably...but its like a guilty pleasure with him.

nostrum your hooked.....man there's a sign of a quality night music stopping that late...love it! they went way over the night of klock and dettmann. quality nostrum quality!

I am on the island this year for three Thursdays! One was going to be a night off but I might do two nights at Enter now as the reviews seem so good...:D. Plus as I'm on my own for some of it just seems somthing new and fresh that I want to tryout. Can't wait I'm lucky enough going to Carl Cox twice too.

Enter would win over Fatboy Slim for me. Saying that Carl Cox night last year was my fav night, it's just that the line up the week your going is better for Enter.

Richie hawtin is playing from morning and right now in some beach near san miguel....

another 12-15 hours more after ENTER

ps: enter is not the hardest and fastest of the 3 (thank god..lol)[/QUOTE]

Lol!! I like it hard....& my fav pace at about 150bpm..... :spank:

Thanks so much for everyone's responses! I'm really liking the sound of the friendly vibe at Enter....

^^ Enter is about Deep House/Tech House, Ambient and some pure Techno in the Discoteca. If 150bpm is your bag I reckon you might not get what you're looking for - on the Techno side, maybe the Carola-Capriati crew at Amnesia on a Friday would sit more on the 'right' side of Techno for your taste ?

Thanks for that kimajy!! Slower beat will prob allow me to last longer & maybe do all 3 nights! I thought when I was in Ibiza in June that the pace seemed slower generally than in previous years....

Are you making that 150 figure up.......serious, no enter does not play 150 bpm nor does anywhere else. Try this thing called gabber big on holland a few yrs back.you wont find much in ibz 150 bpm....the more i think of it enter may not be for you musically. :(

and full respect to we love too might i add they are really at the forefront of bringing emerging artists and music styles to space and ibz. as their name suggests "we love music ".they dont get caught up in putting on overly commercial artists and putting on artists that might be massive but dont carry too much musical street cred. unfortunately ibz is going commercial sadly...but thats another thread.

I've definitely witnessed Sven hitting 150bpm before, especially when he does his "all night long" sets!!

Ozlozzer - nope, not making it up....used to love Frantic / tidy vs frantic / superfish with Tinrib / ali wilson at 414 / proteus.......ah those were the days! Though to be fair, NEVER heard that kind of stuff in Ibiza & have been going for 10 years.....I've just found overall, this year, the pace seems to have slowed down compared to previous years. I know expecting a 150bpm is unrealistic - its not that I'm saying it's the only pace I like, it's just my favourite! I love it hard & dirty! blushing

Well might i suggest you just settle for a nice fat helping of dark and dirty instead.

Hard techno / hardcore ? ...they did have a harder styles week in Ibiza this year (think tidy prganised it with twisted / darkside from Glasgow being involved .

I used to go to a lot of the gabber / hardcore nights in Glasgow ...always mental nights:-)

I'd suggest you look into doing events such as Dominator or the Q dance events in holland / Germany if that's the bpms your looking for (a trip to Berlin should be on your list if you ain't been before ....berghain & tresor would suit you..heavy techno :-)
