Richard Hammond

'Significant brain injury' but doctors are 'reasonably optimistic of a good recovery'

Fingers crossed for him

:(

hope he makes a recovery, I was worried last night that the media were using the term 'critical' far too much, and in the past it's usually meant they're preparing us for the worst...but fair play he seems to have improved, if only slightly. 280 mph..thats going some mind...

I got a phone call from his agent yesterday, (I was looking to book him as a guest speaker at one of events....) as she knows I have a secret (well not very secret actually) crush on him, she was in bits...... :( :( :( :( :(

Gutted for his family.... Best Wishes to The Hamster.

Top gear wont be the same without the Hamster!

im sure he'll be fine, although judging my ITV news's over the top reporting on it (eg.. has reality tv gone too far in making dangerous stunts for entertainment... 5 mins after a filmed gun battle in afghanistan...)

CNN had that same angle yesterday... were these guys all reeling off the same reactionary bs!? :spank:

i agree to a certain extent, was only a matter of time before something went badly on top gear. that said its one of my favourite programs on tv. i really really hope the wee guy is alright.

ITV news has an air of gloom about it these days.

it was an accident ffs... if it wasnt him driving, it wouldnt have barely registered as headline news.

The Mirror went to Press with the reported "........ 280mph smash....."

The Sun had to go one better " .................315mph!!!! smash ..............."

I really dont think the extra 35mph was going to make any difference really when you reach those levels of speed....:spank: :spank: :spank:

Clarkson wrote a really good piece in the sun today.

He said how they have all discussed what they would do if one of them was killed filming in the show.

He sadi that they would basically make a slight joke of it by saying "...Anyway..." He said that he when he heard the news of the crash he was worried he might have to do it!

Luckily though looks like he is coming through!

i obviously wish the fella well and everything but

it not like it was a 'complete accident'

he was driving at a stupid speed

so its kinda like a strong possiblility that something like this would happen.

i hate top gear anyway.
