Rhumba club - a festival of house. Leftfield, hot chip.

Party People, we are now only 21 days away from staging the biggest Rhumba Club party in the past 22 years.

All our plans and ideas are coming together beautifully, and we are confident that the Festival of House will take its rightful place in the esteemed chambers of the Rhumba Hall of Fame.

The amazing support and involvement of the Rhumbateers has been humbling, and we are extremely excited at the prospect of selling out the whole of Fat Sams for this celebration of house music.

One very important thing we need to pass on is that tickets are disappearing very fast. Our online stock will be gone very shortly, so be warned: if that is where you planned to get them from, be fast. Very fast.

Over the coming 3 weeks, we are going to ensure that you have all the details and information required to make Saturday 12th October the day that the Rhumba Club rocked Scotland. The Festival of House is much more than just a huge party in Fat Sams..... we will be rocking shops, bars, living rooms, hotels, toilets…. anywhere that will open their doors to the Party People and embrace that unique Rhumba Fever!

The next 21 days are going to be very exciting in Rhumbaland.… anyone wanting to get involved in the build-up and gabble to other Rhumbateers about any ol’ cobblers, please join us on our Facebook Group Page. There's lots going on and everyone is welcome!

So, to help get the information out to all easier, we have launched our own website: www.therhumbaclub.co.uk.

Please be patient as there is work to do on the site, but most of the basic information is on there now. It will be where all the info you need for the night can be found over the coming days and allow you to plan your Rhumbaexcursion, as well as finding your way around the venue. Transport & accommodation details are on there now.

The next big thing to pass on is details of all the Pre & Post Parties. The poster included in this message gives the breakdown and venues.....

So, in addition to the event in Fat Sams, you get all that free!! We have gathered together all the Notorious Local Acid House Hero’s to help build the very foundation of this night and with the help of other promoters, DJs and bar owners: this Party is set to envelope the whole of Dundee!!

We will be catering for early revellers on Saturday afternoon, continuing right up to when the doors of the Festival of House are thrown open in the evening and we even have a few bars willing to ensure you have a nice chilled Sunday. Please come out early and join in. These will showcase many of the brilliant DJ’s that Scotland has to offer and allegedly lead to the longest conga in acid house history!

One last thing, get working on those smiley’s, because the week before the Rhumba, we are intending on turning Facebook into one big smiley yellow face! Get planning your new FB profile picture now.... How many new and original smileys will be released? Lets see on Saturday 5th October. :-)
