So how was it?

I know quite a few folk on here went (very jealous!) so would be interested to hear what you thought about the various Djs and acts.

We had a good time, fab venue and cool crowd but I was a bit dissapointed with the music.

Marshall Jefferson was good but he played an early set (10-12). Todd Terry was boring - I've seen him much better. Richard X was my fave of the night - he played a great electro set, and apparantly Princess Superstar was good but I think I was AWOL while she was on.

The biggest disappointment for me was 2 Many djs, was really looking forward to them and they ended up playing mostly guitar music

Arman Van Helden on Thursday night @ Fabric took the roof off, he played the best set I've heard this year.

I saw Soulwax (aka Too Many Djs) about a year ago and found them a very mixed bag. The guitar music got on my tits a bit, as whilst it's fun to hear in small doses, i don't really want to hear a whole night of it.

I'm surprised Marshall Jefferson was on so early.

The reason 2manydjs werent as good as usual or playing what people expected at RTNY was that it was a 2manydjs set, NOT soulwax. If they're playing like they do on their album then its billed as soulwax as well on flyers etc. It wasnt their usual kind of set and showed them up to be a bit shit really!

I thought the venue was wicked, apart from crap distorting sound systems. Even drinks were ok priced! Was impressed with the security too, very efficient.

In the house room, MJ was good but on too early to get a good atmopshere which was a shame. Princess superstar rocked and I thought Toddd Terry was really good, i know others didnt but i had a good time when he was on :)

I was most impressed with Erol Alkan, he rocked 8) Everyone was going mad when he dropped White Wedding :D 2manydjs played the worst set i've heard them play, but i thinks thats cause of what i explained above....

I was in the hip hop room for a while too and was just chillin on the big sofas while scratch perverts were on who i liked a lot too.

Had a really good night and was great to see old friends, and then half way through the night Laurens best mates turned up (she didnt know they were coming) which topped of the night :D

Shame we couldnt make it to after-show messiness :? :(

Next time though ;)

Bring on May 29......... :o

Exactly like Jamie and Nath said, Marsh Jefferson on was pretty good but on too early, it was only us deciding on getting an early taxi down there that we got there for 10, Todd Terry was very flat, seen him loads better, Princess Superstar was fab and 2ManyDJs were $hit.

All in all tho was a fab night cos the venue is so cool and the people we were with made it :D ;)

Yeah it was only cause we went with mates who were going to photograph the night and had to get photo passes to get in dj boxes etc that we got there early, otherwise we'd have got there at 12 and missed MJ
