I made it! Cream Closing good...I LOVE that terrace. Monza closing was mind boggling, What´s Up Closing was absolutely phenomenal!!! Best set so far was MANDY at What´s Up. The place was going bonkers from 8 - 10AM. BONKERS!!!

The weather is a bit cooler than I expected but perfect for me...the wifey needs her coat when the sun goes down. Scattered clouds too...not bad though...still catching sun. 8)

Tonight...Howells at Pure Pacha. :D

Pretty much loving everything so far...except for the communication issues w/ the Spanish...my wife and I are learning fast though. ;)

Just had to hop online real quick to make sure the new hurricane hadn´t wiped out my family in Texas... :? When I left they were evacuating...looks like the hurricane weakened though...thank god.

Anyway...just thought I´d give a quick report.

Nice one j - have a blast

Hope everything is ok back home

PS. Really sorry I think I promised you some info - clean forgot.
Sure you'll manage though ;)

Glad your mind was boggled. The meet up was aborted due to the outrageous queue pictured below:

I am really keeping my fingers crossed for the folks in Houston. Heck, almost all the people that were in my department in university are in Houston :( . Our friendly spotlighter, Crystal, also lives in Houston :( . I hope she is OK.

I hope it's some consolation the hurricane has been downgraded to category 3.

Which is just as well 'cos it looks like Dubya might be back on the sauce:

Winds are at about 125mph. That's still pretty darn fast. W probably started slamming down Jim Beam because his investment portfolio might be loaded with Energy stocks.

To give y'all an idea, the drive from Houston to Austin where my folks live is about 2.5 hours. The distance is about 180miles. It was taking people 16-18 hours to drive that distance 8O . One could get on a horse and ride faster than that.

Finally, about 10% - 15% of the US' refining capacity is in Houston. With Lousiana being affected also, about 20% of the refining capacity might be hurt.
