I rented a scooter for the first time in Ibiza this past September at Cooltra (or whatever it's called). All I had to do was show my standard drivers license (G), which is a basic car license in Canada, and that was it. What came to a surprise was, it's mandatory that they charge your credit card with a $300 deposit in case you take off with the thing, but they reimburse the money when you return it.
