hi friends!
Does anyone of you know how to get a rental car without a credit card?
Online booking isn't possible without it, is it? :cry:
Can I get a car there without a credit card?
 
I don't know for sure but I would imagine IF you can get a car without a card you will need to leave a big cash deposit for both the car, and the tank of fuel.

You may also have to pay a refundable insurance excess deposit too?

Do you have a switch card? If it has a Maestro symbol on it you may be able to book it through an British company over here (assuming you are from GB) like www.holidayautos.com

i hired a car last year with no credit card (missus forgot to pack it), and a small deposit (think it was E40)

the place was called UNION and theres a few on the island. even got a free upgrade to a clio and it was only 35 euro for 1 day.

i shall be investigating union again this year
 
Book before you go and you can pay by alternative methods - try Holiday Autos through the link on my site
 
is there any other companies to look at? I'm considering renting and i need price information. I'm only at the tender age of 19 and I actually thought it wouldnt be possible .. people have said different; apparently i can

As far as I know, all UK companies require you to be over 21 and had your licence for a good few years.

I found Hertz cheaper than HolidayAutos, but HolidayAutos then matched the price!!!
